Could Naruto have defeated Nagato?

If Nagato had been able to attack Konoha instead of his 6 Paths, and let's say that Nagato was at his absolute prime and Naruto had just become a sage. Would Naruto have still beaten Nagato or would he have gotten stomped?

are you guys forgetting that the reason nagato was hard to defeat was because of the six paths he was using.....six different shinobi with rinnegan abilities against naruto....that six people naru has to defeat,plus pain,that 7......if it was just nagato....i don't think he could defeat naru alone...because of accumulated damage and chakra loss he would suffer from spamming rinnegan techs and stopping naru/kyubi's attacks

Deva Path alone pinned Naruto the ground. Nagato is stronger than Pein, and contended against KCM Naruto, who is stronger than Pein and SM Naruto, AND Killer Bee using Bijuu Powers. It took Itachi, Naruto and Bee to defeat Nagato. Nagato stomps.

nagato was edo tensei with unlimited chakra and stamina....with a normal body, that chakra and stamina would run out in a drawn out battle with naruto who has huge chakra,plus sage mode chakra,plus kurama...

But he also had the ability to absorb chakra, and was an Uzumaki with stronger lifeforce/endurance. I don't think that would have been an issue for Nagato, and even if it was his ability to absorb chakra would solve that issue immediately

Its true that nagato could destroy newly trained Sage naruto.

In order to save bee, KCM naruto jumped recklessly which result into being caught by the tongue of chameleon.

If naruto didn't jump recklessly in order to save bee then there would be no chance for nagato to counter against KCM naruto's speed.

KCM naruto is too fast for nagato to do anything.there is a reason kishi never made naruto to use any mod above than KCM since kaguya fight.

If he was facing Sage mode Naruto with his true body and he tried to absorb his Sage mode...he'd be a statue.

Not because he is weaker than Sm Naruto, but because of lack of Intel and type match-up weakness. Senjutsu user>Chakra absorber untrained in handling NE.

Not really. Besides, this is Nagato vs Naruto. Naruto has nothing that can stop Chibaku Tensei. That dragon that steals souls will kill him.
