I'd say king, Merlin has more knowledge and trickery, but king isn't dumb too and he has more power.

I'm kind of leaning towards King here, to be honest, just because of the immense power he showed. But he'd have to get really serious and attentive. Again, that's also because we haven't seen Merlin's full power.

This full extent of Merlin's abilities aren't known.
And King atm is OP by the virtue of his calamity power even without his weapon, he basically controls life and death, so not a match tbf.
