'Big 4' totally means mean 'Top 4 Quality Mature Anime'.
Its totally not like the 'Big 4' is actually 'Big Shonen 4'.
Its totally not like fanservice is not a marketing strategy.

And as we all know, everything businesses and marketing do is morally correct, up to date & respectful to people.

Over the years the ecchi genre have grown and so have the wimpy gay main characters who can't string a sentence together infront of a girl who consistently provokes him while he endures and bows down like a little *****. Where the hell have things gone wrong after the 90's? Back then we used to have male and female characters with self respect. The ecchi genre was almost nonexistant, we used to look at how good a character is and not how big her tits is. Also series like prison school might've been interesting during the first episode(I've read the manga two years ago but I have a different perspective now) but after that it piss me off how the guys are basically worshipping these thots.

Nowadays we all need to settle with reboots of old 90/80's series and other series from that time(HxH 2011, Dragon Ball Super, Parasyte, One Piece, Jojo's Bizarre Adventure). Obviously there are a few exceptions to this like OP Man and Toriko that are awesome but they lack the great layer of characterization that went on in 90's series. What the hell is going on?

This is probably why I've grown less interested in anime as the years gone by, this needs to stop.

Here's a suggestion: don't watch ecchi anime. It's bound to offend you.

I don't but it's recently started to creep into anime/manga I love and I won't stand for it. It's gotten to the point where even the greatest author Eiichiro Oda from One Piece needs to throw in fanservice of characters that were actually good at one point like Nami and Robin(still like Robin tho) so he can draw the attention of freaky jap kids with Erectile Dysfunction.

Morally correct: Crude humor and erotica with in the limits are not morally wrong. If you want to moral police people start by actually telling people who exist like Miley Cyrus, Beyonce and Nicki etc on how immoral they are.

Up to Date: If you are suggesting that in the modern (up to date) age people who are going through puberty are not interested the opposite *** and have certain level of misinformed and overzealous level of fantasy about it, thus their choice of medium reflects that ..... then frankly I will call you a idiot.

Respectful: Yeah Erotica and Shonen is all about respectful mature portrayal. Its totally like these genres are known for certain aspects and thus display it as it is as a marker to notify people.

There is no series better than One Piece, Berserk is the only one that would come somwhat close. Also there was almost no fanservice pre-timeskip. Nami's character have been ruined for me. Robin is still good though. Also I don't like Shoujo nor do I remember ever watching it(Is Romeo and Juliet shoujo?). I like manly series and series that makes me think or can make me relate to the characters.

Yeah ... there can be nothing better than a never ending comic whose target audience is 13 year olds. Just like DBZ is the best anime ever.

Try something like Planetes, GiTS, Mushishi first.

80% of One Piece's audience are adults so there is that. Just because you don't have the patience for the first 20 episodes doesn't mean One Piece isn't the greatest series ever. I've watched my fair share of anime and none are as good as One Piece.

Exactly my thoughts! I really like fairy tail and its story and the friendship between all of the characters is so heart warming but after seeing Lucy and all the girls naked and all the sexual humor makes me so nauseous. I just want to say it ruins the spice of the story! But we can't do anything about it the feminists and freedom of speech and thoughts is all but dominated and controlled by immoral people who just want to do what they want to do in the name of feminism and freedom of speech or whatever! As if I'm not allowed to live a happy life and complain because someone else is suffering on the other side of the world that I don't know. I wish there was something I could do to help but some people can't be helped. Yeah, the characters bring the anime to life so I must respect the characters to be able to like a series.

How do you know whether what I read has quality or not? I'll have you know everything I've ever watched has been quality stuff, I usually drop anything else. Also people have different tastes, I'm not saying your taste is shit for liking Mushishi over One Piece so don't talk shit about series I like.
