Level cap in Naruto

If you think about it like that, then everyone would use 8 gates, but you're right, I can't find anything that says that 8 gates is limited to a certain amount of people.

That really isn't the point of the thread though. The point is that there's a level cap most will fall under, though there are a few exceptions.

Clans have kkg and techniques handed down. Guys line only went down the gate route because they were shit at ninjutsu.

The strongest one person can get in Naruto, without having some kind of special power related to the Sage or Bijuu, is SM Naruto's tier. This includes MS Sasuke, Minato, Itachi, 4th Raikage, 3rd Raikage etc.

You can argue what tier these each belong to and tell me i'm wrong, but the fact is that if each one of the opponents in this tier were faced against one another they would each give each other a hard time, i.e. It wouldn't be an easy fight. Don't take it as me saying that they're all on equal ground.

No one has been able to be stronger than this tier without having some relation to the sage. This means that every single person has a level cap in Naruto and that the new generation will at most reach this level of strength.

I would say Hashirama holds top tier right now, then it would go to the tier with Naruto and the rest. Hashirama had wood release and an insanely strong sage mode, as far as we know that was his own power, or it was Hagaromo dicking over the elder son as he stated this time around he split the power. Madara needed his brothers eyes to reach Hashi's level so going off of borrowed power I would put Madara with the Naruto tier. Guy only in 8 gates gets top tier with Hashi, but he loses his life.

Hashirama wasn't born to be that strong, he actually trained to become that strong so he could obtain his dream which became Konoha. You can say he had high potential but he had to train to reach that potential. Also I wouldn't put MS Sasuke up there since he lasted until he went blind while SM Naruto shown improvements in the war. Maybe if Sasuke had the mastery over his MS jutsus that he had after his fight with Danzo from the get go but SM Naruto can actually fuse with Ma and Pa toad after friending Kurama and SM enhances his base stats so as his base increases so would his SM enhancements. For example, you limit Naruto to SM and go to the time of The Last and we have a Base Naruto at Kage level and SM a level beyond that but then we have a Blind Sasuke which higher skills most likely but no sight or eye power.

I agree with the others on the list since Minato have fought A and Bee more than once and put the fear in Bee and this is before he ever reached his prime; he's the fastest on the list, can break down jutsus weaknesses by seeing it once, is said to never make a move without reason, and a sealing master. A is the fastest bar Minato (on the list), can kill with a single blow to enemies below a certain level, have high endurance, and shown to be capable of being the leader of the whole alliance during the war. Itachi has an illness that eats away at him yet is still between mid Kage to high Kage level, is smart, and a wide rounded ninja in all aspects.

I would add Hiruzen to the list since his prime was obviously pretty high up there, Kabuto called Hiruzen the strongest of the Kages in part 1 which means old Hiruzen is stronger than A, Oonoki, Gaara's dad, and Yagura/Mei; he can tell a jutsu by its hand seal, break down jutsus by observing it, and is a well rounded ninja. Tobirama had no special KKGs and was still on a level close to EMS Madara and Hashirama seeing how he killed Izuna who Obito said was even with MS Madara and the difference is more chakra reserve/power, better precognition, and MS jutsus get strengthen. Add Gai, Kakuza, Kisame, and pretty much all other Kage level ninjas

Madara was killing adult Senjus as a child, Hashirama was above him. He was a genius who had the right genes.

Madara wasn't killing every adult Senju he came across, we already seen lower level ninjas take on stronger ninjas and win. Naruto took down Kabuto who was equal to Kakashi in part one but was Naruto Jounin level? No, he was high Genin. We see Part 1 Neji beating a stronger enemy in part 1 in the Sasuke retrieval arc as well. Minato took down 2 cloud ninjas as a Genin or Chunin when he saved Kushina and they were most likely Jounin level since the mission was to capture the Kyuubi Jinchuuriki plus A made a big deal about it when he first met Minato.

Being a genius with the right genes shouldn't could you out or else you wouldn't have mentioned Sasuke or Itachi right? MS Sasuke capabilities aren't something that's known; we can see Naruto's base improve in the Last and in Gaiden and know SM only heightens his base so can gauge his level from that while Sasuke went blind at the end of the Kage Summit arc so that's his peak.

MS Sasuke is Kage level but he's not at the level that you would put the higher tiers on, if Sasuke had MS for years and grew stronger than yes he would be but he's still Mid Kage at most while other Kages are stronger than that which means they're at the top levels that a ninja can reach without Bijuus or Sage power. We have Jiraiya who's base is mid Kage who can go SM to become strong, Minato who base is high Kage and can go SM to go to the level above Kage, Oonoki and Muu at high Kage, Orochimaru who was mid Kage but WZ body+12 years would put him at a higher level, bee's base is at low to mid Kage level since he was man handling Sasuke+Taka while not being completely serious at first.

Hebi and MS Sasuke would have died in each one of his fights had he not had help or special circumstances that aided him (much like Naruto until they became stronger) so it's not like MS Sasuke was at mid Kage in all aspects. Some of his skills weren't at that level yet, he was becoming stronger as he mastered his MS but at the cost of losing his sight. When you say MS Sasuke I see Sasuke at the start of his fight with A since he had his vision plus could use Susanoo (rib), Amaterasu, and Enton but not as skillfully as he does later on. Sasuke goes blind so I don't count MS Sasuke as being Sasuke with his skills after Danzo fight but with his sight returned to when he first got MS; makes no sense to since I don't do that for other characters. Unless you specifically label a specific character in a vs but in this sense this is characters at their strongest and MS Sasuke was at his strongest right before going blind.
