No it wasnt, you are just guessing their age based on how they were drawn. Characters in their 30s and 40s can and have been drawn to look much younger than they are.
Hiruzen was not in His 40 when He became Hokage when He was somewhere in His 50 when Minato died and took over. Look First Hokage and Madara fought each other the first time over 100 years ago by the Manga time line. Onoki and Hiruzen were from the same generation.

According to the numbers he was.

Im not saying it all makes sense. It absolutely doesnt. Because the sannins ages wouldnt make sense with this.

Im just going by the numbers. 31 years ago was Hiruzens appointment, so what other age could he have been.

Well as you put it the Sannin ages don't match; they were 6 years old when Hiruzen became their Master (when they graduated from the Academy) and were 54 by the war arc so that's about 48 years right there. So if Hiruzen would have been 73-74 by the war arc then minus 48 years and he was 25-26 when he first took on the Sannins as students. Asuma is 30-31 years old by part 2 when he died so would probably be 31-32 by the war arc; 73-31/32=40/41. Hiruzen clearly looks older when he's the Sannins teacher than when he became Hokage so by manga and databook facts Hiruzen was younger than 25-26 years old when he became Hokage.

You right it really doesn't add up for the sannin age if it's true.

Well we can use the Sannin's age to determine the age he was when he first took them as his students. The DB provided their age while the manga provides the information to use with their ages.

From this theory, he taught 3 grown adults then. Because they are 24 years older than Kakashi's generation, thus this makes it look like Kakashi was a baby when Jiraiya, Tsunade, and Orochimaru were like 12 (hence why it looks like some kind of plot hole). Asuma was born when Hiruzen is in his 40's so this wouldn't really help. Tsunade was also 54-55 when Danzo died so take away 31 years and you get 23-24. This most likely correlates when Nawaki died: The Second Ninja War. But this is the First one correct? So this would make Tsunade around her 20's when her grand-uncle dies in battle. I know Hashirama was old enough to see Tsunade as a baby but his brother old enough (and still looks ilke in his prime) to see Tsunade as a young adult? Preposterous.

Short words, big ass plot hole by Kishimoto.

Its clearly a plot hole, just like Obito meeting Nagato 20 years ago as the DB claimed.

-Hiruzen was 69 when he died.
-Sannin were 50 in part 1.
-Hiruzen is 19 years over Sannin.
-If the Sannin were 6 when he trained then, Hiruzen was 25 at that point, but he looks at least 10 years older from when Tobirama died so Hiruzen was Hokage at 16, making him the youngest Hokage ever.

Minato and Kushina both died at 24, databook confirms this. He was the youngest hokage.

And then why people says that Hiruzen was younger?

And if he was 41-43 like you said then the sannins must have been 23-25. And Jiraiya became Minato sensei at 23. So Minato was 10 when Tobirama died.

And Nawaki died when Minato was 10 at the age of 12. So if he died at that age it means that it was the second war and not the first and some people says that the second war was 10 years after th first so nothing makes sense.

¿Did I explain well?

He definitely was not the youngest hokage ever XD

When kakashi was being appointed as hokage after e pain arc. The hier ups argued that kakashi was too young. Then someone brouht up the point that minato was even younger. Hiruzens name was never brougt up, its quite clear hiruzen was made hokage much older than minato.

Kagami was 25 at the time of tobiramas death, according to the db. Yet you think hiruzen was 9 years younger than him at that point lol. Torifu was freaking 30 at that time as well as confirmed in the db.

Plot hole or not, his age is definitely confirmed to be 43 (same age as danzo) at the time of tobiramas sacrifice. Not sure where you got the sannin calculations from, dont really care. 31 years ago is when hiruzen was appointed hokage, no denying that.
