that makes no sense that's a horrible example the thing you have to remember is that the second and the first were said to be equal which means they're on the same level the first may been the stronger but that was not by much

That's not what they meant by equal. I have noticed a lot of people on this site don't know what equal is. It actually has a broad explanation. In this case them being equal mean the 1st as the 1st Hokage who united the villages and was the greatest warrior they have ever seen praised as a god alongside Madara was equal to the 2nd a great warrior who helped his brother unite the villages and was the greatest scientist they have ever known.
