He would never beat Oro, who can summon the four Hokage, and the snakes. Oro also gave himself the body of a sage by modifying it. Jiraiya never even perfected Sage Mode. Oro is a tier above him even without Edo.

Tsunade could never be killed by Jiraiya, who has only slightly better speed than her. He also has less chakra, and isn't very resilient.

Oro is the genius Tsunade is the medic Jiraiya is the fighter. He would beat both of them in a fight. Their useful in their own ways.

OT: all of them surpassed their masters, the chapter "New sanin" or w.e was specifically for that. Fans who aren't able to comprehend this and are stuck on whole "sakura ain't surpassed Tsunade".. just are either too dense to understand or just being ignorant.

You are biased one. Although naruto > jiraiya but it is a fact that Jiraiya is the strongest among sanins.
Orochimaru and tsuande has no chance of wining against him. SM jiraiya is too much op. I bet he even could turn orochimaru into a frog like he did to one of hidden rain shinobi.

Sakura actually surpassed Tsunade. She surpassed Her in chakra control, and in CES, as noted by Hashirama, and by calculations. The new novel states that the Haruno clan indeed does possess an enormous amount of chakra, as displayed when she opened multiple dimensions, something that was taxing even for kaguya. Her speed feats surpass Tsunade, and she showed better HEALING feats. She also has that genjutsu cancel thing going for her.

Sasuke surpassed orochimaru without power ups. He had mugen yo solo orochimaru if need be and take control of his summons.

Tsunade will always be stronger at what she does thanks to Senju/Uzumaki genes. She simply has way more chakra to keep healing, while Sakura has average chakra reserves (outside of using her Yin seal).

Sakura is just a failed character. Kishi did better job writing Tsunade. Tsunade got more development, more fight scenes, more backstory, more connection to the plot, and overall was written better than Sakura.

Sakura skills are a carbon copy of tsunade but lacks the leadership qualities she possessed (tho it was little).

Sakura, Ino, and Tenten are the only ones who didn't surpass their teachers.

She apparently has an "affinity" for genjutsu that has been neglected.

There's a lot of talk by others, usually in ways that make little sense (ex: Hashirama stating Sakura is stronger than Tsunade), but I don't see it in action.

What comes to mind is her failure to heal Shikamaru, that it was Naruto keeping him alive (stated by Ino as she corrected Sakura) and in the end it took Tsunade with a single *tap* to heal and revive Shikamaru, saving him from death.

Some will say her punching out a horde of Ten-Tail-Spawn is evidence of this but Tsunade broke Madara's Susanoo whilst impaled.

... that is a feat I can get behind. Sakura and her super-punch can ****** ******.



But even with what she does have, I don't really buy it. I don't see how she has become stronger than Tsunade who - at five years old - was crushing rocks with her bare hands. I don't see how she's got so much chakra (without the Yin Seal) when in Part I Kakashi described her as having small chakra reserves.

... Bleh. Shitty development.
I would have liked to have seen her develop genjutsu skills - enhanced strength isn't on the same level as terrifying as genjutsu could/should be. A cherry blossom motif would have worked in nicely too...
Ah well.

I suppose we'll have to settle for Tsunade v 2.0

Good post. I fully agree. You explained perfectly well why War Arc Sakura never surpassed Tsunade. Tsunade as a ninja has shown better display of her jutsu. Her fight against Kabuto is an example of that. On top of that it seems like Sakura only inherited punching the ground from Tsunade. Cause that is the only move she knows. Naruto and Sasuke on the other hand have fully mastered there signature moves by adding varation to there jutues. If you look at Rasengan and chidori now. They have developed immensely. That right there is a sign of surpassing. Taking what your master taught you to another level. Unfortunatly for Sakura she does not have that.

That's not a manga fact. Orochimaru was easily the strongest Sannin, and the other two were obviously not on his level. He has the Strength of Jiraiya, and the durability of Tsunade. And that's without Edo Tensei, which he has DNA of the Kage For. Manda takes Bunta, and when all else fails, the Serpent decimates them. Tsunade arguably cannot be killed except by frog song, which is only usable in certain matchups.

I'm going to have to disagree on two points.
Sakura has been noted to be better at CES than Tsunade.
Healing Shikamaru was less of a healing technique and more of a lifeforce thing, like what Chiyo did for Gaara, on a smaller scale.

Transfer the chakra from her Yin Seal to someone else, to the point where her markings covered their body as well (Tsunade has never accomplished that feat to the same extent)..
