[Discussion] I take my asvab test tomorrow

My entire future that I've mapped out for myself is dependent on how I do on this test tomorrow. This is gonna make or break it.

I've heard numerous times that it's supposed to be really easy. I got an 86 on my practice and people say the practice is harder than the actual test. But literally I cannot comprehend how such a thing is even possible given how easy that was. Sort of aside the point though.

Anybody here taken the asvab? I've been nose deep in the math section, arithmetic reasoning is basically easy math, and touched literature a couple times but I've always excelled in english so thats not really a concern for me.

Also what type of stuff did you see on arithmetic reasoning and math?

That test is easy, majority of the questions test upon whether or not you have common sense.

Nope didn't study. :| They told us that we had to do it so I did it. I don't think the problems on the test could have been any higher than 9th or 8th grade math. It was REALLY basic.

Very simple. If you've taken the practice test from your recruiter, it's literally the exact same test. Make sure you get a good night sleep tonight because it's sure to be a long ass day. Yeah, what branch?

I'm going to be honest, I failed 4 times and continuously studied and passed with a 49. I wasn't going to abandon my dream of being a US Marine. I enjoy my life so far, I've noticed change in my life and I'm more responsible about what I do.

The actual test was hard for me, but don't let that get you. TAKE YOUR TIME. Trust me. You have plenty of time to complete the test. Use process of elimination and make sure you've got good study time. Some questions on there are pretty advanced. Most of it is from friggin' easy crap like 4th grade questions to highest being 10th grade questions, no higher though, at least that's what I remember in the study books and from my recruiter.

I hope you chose the right branch, but then again, I respect all branches and those who put their life on the line just like me.
