I have read that book, and it's a must-read in my opinion. The most important quote from the book was something like this "You shouldn't work for money, but make money work for you". That encompasses everything they are trying to tell you. Most of the time, you can't rely on your job alone to be rich or financially secure, but on investments and the like.

No job will ever make you rich unless you're talking about being a 65 year old millonaire next door who stilll lives a middle class life because they can't afford any change in lifestyle. Btw that by itself rarely ever happens anymore, you now have people who work far beyond their retirement years just to get by but don't let us forget the one bonus attached to our wealth, the thing called old age. You basically traded your life for money for 40 years and you can't even enjoy it. To add insult to injury we call it the "golden years" ha!
