I advise you to hold off on the update until new improvement upgrades are released.

Windows 10 should not interfere with your wireless adapter, windows itself has nothing to do with connectivity it's the wi-fi chip in your computer that picks it up, windows is just software. Anyway, you may either A. Disconnect from your router (via your computer when windows 10 is installed) and reconnect it while it is installed. Or B. Troubleshoot while you're close to the router and leave your computer in close proximity to the internet router for 15 minutes (don't touch it). There are other ways but I don't advise you manually re-routing and tampering with your computer's inner workings. You may want to wait for patches or call a representative advisably

So why does it matter? you can browse the internet from what I understand.......and if you so desperately want it to say connected, try cleaning your registry.....or something.

Try downloading generic WiFi driver for Windows 10 before you update, before you do that, try uninstalling your wifi driver ethernet drivers and restarting.

I have the same problem. After upgrading, both of my laptops are suffering from WiFi connection problem. But my phones are working perfectly. Don't know why though.
