I know that the manga made it clear that Ashura gained the sage's physical energy (the yellow coating) and Indra gained the sage's strong chakra.

Leaving Ashura and his successful incarnates with blossomed yellowish fire physical energy/rsm.

While Indra and his incarnates will later awakened rikudou chakra/rinnegan

What's interesting here is the Indra's incarnates were known to use their kekkai genkai to control beasts to use them in battle.

However in Indra and Ashura's fight, their was no bijuus around for Indra to use.

And this time, Ashura was entrusted with Hagoromoo's powers while Indra received nothing.

So it was Eyes vs Body+Hagoromoo's given power.

They both ended up killing each other off.

I'm not bashing any character here, I like Indra and all his incarnates as much a I like Ashura and Naruto.

What do you think?

Bashing will get reported

Wow Indra must be beast if he was able to stalemate Ashura who had Hagoromo's power while he just had a MS

Except like always, you misconstrue this.

For one, it's not that RSM or Rin'negan will blossom. The Rin'negan only blossoms with both chakras from Hagoromo (Indra and Ashura) so no, the full potential of just Indra's side is not the Rin'negan. However RSM is purely Yang. And you misinterpreted what Hagoromo "gave" Ashura. The power he gave him wasn't physical. It was the mantle of responsibility to lead Ninshuu. He didn't give him any power.

He had his father's strong chakra, so it's something a little bit more than the standard MS uchiha chakra. But none the less, Indra is very impressive.

I think he's still stronger than his brother and incarnates (juubi senjustu excluded).

i don't think it quite worked like that. What I mean is even though Hagoromo chose Ashura as his successor, I am not so sure Ashura actually received the rikudo's powers but rather the mantle of leader. Think of it as being elected kage if you will.

As the OP said the bijuu weren't present which could mean Hagoromo was not dead yet and thus did not split the juubi into bijuu quite yet.

He did state that Ashura amassed power EQUAL to Indra through hard work and companionship. Hagoromo also mentioned that he got the idea to split the bijuu into seperate entities from Ashura's ideals and way of life.

But still, don't take that as me downplaying Indra. He was born a genius and had this power from the get go and only further developed what was already present within him.

It comes down to what hagoromoo said he gave Ashura.
Because he goes on to say that this time he gave naruto and sasuke both the power.

I'm think that Ashura was given this:

They barely have anything in common.

-Naruto inherited Kushina's strong chakra at born which lead him to become a Jin which allowed him to get as far as he got. Similar to Indra.

-Sasuke was the one with the brother issues, often replied on teamwork with both Team 7 & Taka, and gained his power/skills through suffering and training. Similar to Ashura.

Becoming a Jin doesn't instantly make you top 5 material. Naruto had to work for it just as much as Sasuke did.

Also, most of the Uchiha powers comes straight up from emotion. That's pretty pathetic.

I think Transcendence is right.

There's so many things wrong with that post that even I didn't bother wasting my time on that thing. That and also I don't know why he's in my thread in the first place.

Ask me what you have a question about or what seems wrong and I'll gladly answer it for you.
Because I use scans and context from the manga.

Never said he didn't work hard. But there is no denying that without that strong chakra he wouldn't have gotten nearly as far as he did. That makes him more like Indra than Ashura.

The Jinchuriki and Uchiha have around the same potential, there's barely a difference. Naruto and Sasuke both won the genetic lottery and mainly got that far based on circumstance.

I don't think the Sage gave Ashura any specific powers, as it didn't say clearly.

Also, keep in mind that Naruto has the body, and the nine tails, so Ashura did pretty well on his part.

Well, you are right to a certain degree.

Naruto needed the tailed beast to reach up to Ashura and Sasuke needed a transplant to further up his ocular evolution.

But what hagoromoo gave him could've been the two seals.

Ashura blossomed the body of the sage to match his brothers powers.

But here's the interesting part though, how can Ashura fight his brother without ninjustus?

Didn't he know ninjutsu though?

Nope, he was taught Ninshuu from his father.

The databook stated thatt Indra created ninjustu
That might be true but I'm sure he could have learned it because they said that people were using it to fight.

Hagoromo gave Ashura responsibility. Ashura's power blossomed through hard work. Like Maito Gai working hard to whoop JJ 1 eye Fetty-Dara. Like Rock Lee striving to get stronger than Neji Lee.

Indra's not going to teach Ashura ninjustu just to fight to the death.

Ashura has to use everything he has in order to stop his brother.

Yea, he blossomed life energy (cloak) and rikudou senjustu (gudodamas).
