Wanting people to be healthy is awesome, yeah, but promoting what is bullying isn't the way to go about it. Already, people are dicks and nobody hates you more than you, so adding to that is just a disaster. I would like to live in a world where we just didn't care. Why can't we all just get along and not care? Life sucks enough as is. Let people be fat, skinny, ripped, have weird hair, crazy tats, whatever.

Because when shit goes wrong it comes out of tax payers pockets.
Because we're forced to accommodate or make concessions for these people, and when we don't we get slapped with shit like discrimination or bullying.

I agree. Those people shouldn't be calling it like that then. People of a larger size should know what they physically can and can't do.

Obesity is a complex health condition without a simple cure. The majority of people who are obese don't want to be that way.

On the other hand, health is a private matter. If you doubt that statement, please ask yourself why you have to sign the privacy notice when you receive medical care (in the U.S.)

Yet unlike other matters of health and habits, obesity is out there for everyone to see, so every know-it-all feels entitled to "weigh in"
on the issue. Telling people something they already know and belittling them for their habits does NOTHING to encourage change. It actually has the opposite effect, by adding to feelings of hopelessness and self-disgust.

If you care enough to criticize, be willing to do something to help fix the problem.

I saw this thread for about a day now and I said I wouldn't click it, but I caved in and clicked it... now I'm livid at the fact that people like this exist. Next time I'll resist the urge and not click.

I agree with her; Obesity is becoming a worldwide epidemic.
China, Mexico, and USA leading the forefront.

and

There are a lot of factors to consider such as quality and quantity of food, exercise, and societal expectations.

BMI measures can sometimes be misleading since they it take into consideration muscle/fat proportions.

But hey let's use Ad Hominem remarks and criticize her voice and personality so that we can change the goal post and feel better about ourselves!!

Because she is a moron. If this information was presented by a doctor or nutritionist in a beneficial way then people would listen, this is presented in an, I'm better than you, you are pathetic for being overweight, please give me attention sort of way and its irritating as heck.

I understand she is aiming this at people who just eat themselves fat not at people who are fat through no fault of their own but it's not beneficial to anyone at all. The only thing this video will do is make people angry, troll or feel pathetic, which is its purpose.

-"through no fault of their own"
Citation please? Do you also believe in the "fat gene"?

- and

-Genes are only instructions for coding proteins, and it's not clear as to how the concerted action of a select subset of tens of thousands of kinds of proteins could alter the body's physiology - or neural structure - to produce any observed trait, whether physical or behavioral.

Don't sugarcoat it because you'll eat that too.

There is still time to correct the error of our weighs

They don't want to be that way yet they don't commit themselves to doing anything about it. Interesting.
Instead they cry about how people should accept and love them for who they are, and try to berate anyone who dares to say anything that makes them feel bad about being a bloody land whale.

Science doesn't seem to agree with your claim- The number one killer: Heart disease: 611,105 ( )

Causes of cardiovascular disease: ( )

While cardiovascular disease can refer to different heart or blood vessel problems, the term is often used to mean damage to your heart or blood vessels by atherosclerosis (ath-ur-o-skluh-ROE-sis), a buildup of fatty plaques in your arteries. Plaque buildup thickens and stiffens artery walls, which can inhibit blood flow through your arteries to your organs and tissues.

Atherosclerosis is also the most common cause of cardiovascular disease. It can be caused by correctable problems, such as an unhealthy diet, lack of exercise, being overweight and smoking

Just because there are misnomers doesn't mean it's not accurate.

And most of those people are not getting their daily fish oils as well...

Oh boo-****ing-hoo. Tax-payers have always and will always pay for things so let's not start a damn fiscal pity party. If you're shaming fat people, then that's bullying. If you're not shaming or insulting them, then what's there to worry about? The best thing we can do is encourage them to lose weight.

It's like she's trying to be Jenna Marbles and Sweet Dee from It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia all at once.
