Nope you got it all wrong, that Joker was a new version at the time, I've never seen the Joker with those scars in any comic other than the faceless one, the last Joker was an Anarchist. Jared's Joker is a combination of Morrison's Joker with Drank knight returns, the metal teeth are clearly from battling batman over the years, you can even see some tooth in those metal teeth ._. The people complaining are usually the ones who have only seen one version of the Joker and he has a lot of version.
