Been seeing some posts about who is the fastest ninja and I was surprised to see minato in some top 3s, even above 8 gates gai. The people behind the posts saying that "A says he's the fastest" or that FTG counts as speed so his speed is instant.

Let me start by saying that FTG is not speed, it is teleportation, you wouldn't get in a car and say "omg I'm going 95 mph, the car is, you're just in it.

Secondly, I can see why A would say that, considering he probably didn't know that FTG existed, someone teleporting right in front of him without him knowing that it is would seem like OP speed.

All in all, I'm not saying that minato is slow, just slower than 8 gates gai and a handful of others, to anybody who disagrees.....

No, no, you're going 95 mph too. If you were at rest while the car was going, you'd be out the back of the car and onto the street. Not relevant to this FTG talk, I just had to correct you on this.

What I meant was, the car is the reason behind your movement, you yourself aren't going that fast, you are within the car that is doing so, anyone using FTG isn't instantly moving to that spot because of their speed, its because of the justu that teleports whatever is in one spot to whatever is in another

Many people knew about FTG. Minato made it famous. When Ay said Minato was the fastest he wasn't talking about FTG because FTG is instant. Cee said Ays reactions were on par with Minato and nothing is on par with instant (FTG). No matter what number you can come up with, for example 990 billion miles a second, its still nothing compared to instant because literally no time pases going from point A to point B. So FTG couldn't have been what the manga meant because Ay and Minato were on on a similar level, and nothing is close to the level of instant except instant.

I'm sure other shinobi knew of FTG, just no shinobi's knew how to use it, as it was a Leaf Jutsu. An S rank one at that.

Actually everything is at standstill position when you teleport. Teleportation still a form of speed.

"Teletransportation, is the theoretical transfer of matter or energy from one point to another without traversing the physical space between them"

At bold, the matter is transfer/traverse using S/T/special dimension and not traversing inside physical space.

We saw flash/Quicksilver running very fast, all thing around move very slow or not moving at all.

Thats mean here in the case of teleportation that is instant, all thing around that actually moving turn standstill also. And for the car that move 95mph. teleporter still can catch it. The logic applies similar to MFTL speed but much faster

After A and B's encounter with Minato, Kumo did.
Iwagakure did, seeing how they issued a "flee on sight" policy on him during a great war.

Cloud Village. The 3rd Raikage used a similar S/t.

Yes and no, foot speed doesn't determine ability to develop S/t. Tobirama has a slow foot speed compared to the likes of EMS Sasuke. However depending on the user's talent with shunshin they can use FTG considerably faster, Tobirama stated that Minato travelled faster than him even though they both teleported instantly.

I think foot speed is only a factor when teleporting multiple times over a distance which I'm guessing is what Tobirama and Minato were doing. Between the time they've teleported and the time they are about to teleport again, the person with the faster foot speed would be at a further distance and hence teleport to the location in less time.

When did I say foot speed lead to development of S/T there

I explained to him in high speed environment experienced by Speedster like Flash/Quicksilver/Zoom/Superman etc, all thing around them look/turn standstill or not moving on their vision because they move to fast(FTL or MFTL etc).

Same as instant teleporter. The difference here, teleportation is using special dimension to go from point a to b and they are much faster than running speed.

I agree, Flash and Quicksilver have to travel from point A to point B to poin C, etc. until they reach point Z, whereas S/t users basically switch from point A directly to point Z without going through the 24 points in between.

But in terms of NV rules, Flash and Quicksilver are just really fast Shunshin users, they don't teleport. They're just fast enough to nearly keep up with teleportation users like Naruto's Shusnhin rivalling Ameno, due to Sasuke's inferior reaction time.

What I was trying to say is that there are different factors that can affect an S/t user's speed compared to a runner. Without dojutsu, S/t would rely on seals like FTG. And those seals aren't always likely to be present in the location the user finds themselves in.

In a drag race over 100km where the S/t user has to teleport from multiple stop points, someone with Nagato's mobility for example wouldn't reach the finishing line before Minato.

Another scenario is if S/t used teleportation to fight, someone with Naruto's reaction time and body strength could easily dodge the user between the time they teleported and the time they're about to strike.

But yes, generally S/t > foot speed all day

They know it as Minato's jutsu and that one has to flee and avoid facing off against Minato...
