Elijah makes his way towards the training field where he meets a young man, who he had to teach Genjutsu. Elijah had been teaching many lately, and he was well versed in it too. One could say, it was his specialty. He had his suitcase with him, which contained with various scrolls.

"Hello there. I am Elijah Ganmi.. What do you know of Genjutsu? Anything that comes to mind about it."

Elijah then waited for his student to answer him.

"Oh, and your name too?"

Roxas watches as his new sensei strolls into the training field, introducing himself as Elijah, an all-business looking kinda guy, then moving on to what they were actually here for, listening to Elijah waiting for him he begins... Genjutsu is one of the most advance forms of chakra manipulation, but an underused and underappreciated ability, from what i know, genjutsu can be used to affect an opponents 5 senses, either all together or individually, the senses are Vision, Hearing, Smelling, Touch, and Taste. Each one able to be altered to seem as if something else is happening ehen its not, for instance, it could be raining a flammable liquid but the user could make the opponent believe it was regular rain hy affecting thier sense of smell to remove the distinctive smell of such a liquid. Though there are several other genjutsu that go beyond normal appilcations affecting the real world aswell. Which would notably be Izanagi (Think thats the right name) which allows the user to cheat death by altering thier own personal reality with the exception of losing sight in the eye it was casted from. And the other being the Kurama clans unique genjutsu that allows them to physically harm an opponent inside of genjutsu without touching the opponent in the real world. And my name is Roxas, i look forward to your tutelage.

Elijah listens to the explanation of his new student, Roxas. It wasn't that bad, though a lot was not known about Genjutsu anyway, most people knew it as causing illusions.. but it was deeper than that. It was an art form on its own. Genjutsu could allow one to express one's feelings, one's darkest desires and also one's most evil side.

"Hmmm. Not bad, but there's a lot missing. Genjutsu is used to disrupt the target's chakra flow and thus altering his senses. You will then opponent perceive whatever his senses can perceive. Affect his sense of touch and make him hypersensitive to anything, his sense of smell, and make him smell rotten bodies, or simply flowered roses. The sense of sight, and make him see himself disintergrate, his sense of taste, and make him taste chilli and his sense of hearing, and make him hear nothing, or everything. The possibilities are endless, and that's what makes Genjutsu so interesting.

The way it works is that, everyone has a balanced chakra flow by default. A balanced combination of physical and spiritual energy. When a Genjutsu is induced, it breaks that balance and scrambles the link between spiriti and energy, mind and body. Its usually done through a trigger, like hand seals, a sound, light or even just eye contact. Its quite interesting overall how it works. Now tell me.."

Elijah's face becomes more stern. He realises that he let his passion for Genjutsu almost let him say everything about Genjutsu. He couldn't be doing all the work, his student had to do some!

"What do you know about detecting a Genjutsu? If I were to place you in a Genjutsu now, how would you know its a Genjutsu, and not just a special skill of mine?"

As roxas approaches the end of his explanation he sees gis new found teachers face seem to grin in a slightly evil yet proud smirk, it seemed he had found someone enthusiastic about genjutsu... *Good* he thought as he ended his explanation, and begins listening to his teachers follow up... As Elijah continued through his speech it just reinforced Roxas' earlier guess, though abruptly his face changed evident that he realized his passion overcame him as he was doing more explaining than roxas' was... Elijah then followed up with a few questions that caught Roxas off guard answered hesitantly but answered nevertheless.

Ahh well ill be honest i don't know much but I'll try my best... Emh.. It varies between each genjutsu, while some are simple genjutsu such as causing a change to your environment, or cause you to hear things that do not exist, a sinple solution to combat these is at the beginning of any match place a dummy seal on an environmental aspect such as a tree, rock, etc.. By doing this if by any chance (going by our RP) the opponent uses and enviroment changing jutsu the user could if they feel off about the environment scan for the dummy seal, if not visible or has changed objects the user might be able to deduce a genjutsu.. Thats all i got for that one as for the next... If perhaps you are using a sound ability, then we could plug our ears ridding (not sure if that works in our rp, just going by what choji did) the ability to effect the ears whilst also ridding away soind based genjutsu aswell.

Once more, Elijah listens to the words of his student. His way of explaining wasn't wrong, he just had a hard time of putting it the way he wanted, but Elijah understood what he meant. It seems like he always caught his students off guard.

"Hmm, I see what you mean. Allow me to elaborate. There are two ways to deduce that you are in a Genjutsu. The first one is to simply figure out that it's a Genjutsu. Basically how you explained, you have to analyze the information that you are seeing, hearing etc. and deduce logically why it can be a Genjutsu before breaking it. "Alright, if you understand that part. We can move on. Next, I want you to tell me everything you can about breaking a Genjutsu? This is after noticing that you are in a Genjutsu."

Elijah then waited once more, eager to hear the answer of his student.

As Roxas finished his explanation, he sighed lightly in relief as his teacher had understood what he had meant, he was never to good at explaining the way to percieve genjutsu but as his teacher spoke he ended it with a question that Roxas had more hope to answering. "Yes i understand, and to the question. There are quite a few methods to break a genjutsu, of course after deducing you are in one, you could 1; Afflict pain on your self depending on the rank of the genjutsu it could range from simply cutting yourself up to needing to bite your tongue off, a more rational choice if one has not learned kai. 2; Kai, meaning release, i jutsu developed specifically for genjutsu, it cause an abrupt surge in either yours or somelses chakra disturbing it again after being already alter with genjutsu which in turn causes ones chakra flow to reset back to its default flow by inserting your chakra directly into thier pathways/body the best methid to release ones self and others without causing physical damage. and finally the third method, Fully body jutsus essiantley a form of kai but meant for attacking or defensive purposes rather than releasing from genjutsu, jutsus like these release chakra from all around the body, effectively spiking thier chakra and reseting much like kai would, jutsu like this are the earth armor jutsu(forgot name) and chidori nagashi.. i might by missing a method but this is what i know U_U"

He was now getting onto the right path. Elijah was impressed. He was one of the first to actually list them all, without needing the help of Elijah. He did miss one though..

"Very good. The first one, Pain. As you said, the amount of pain required is relevant to the rank of the Genjutsu. Here is a list of pain required to break a certain rank."

Elijah throws a scroll.

D Rank Genjutsu: Chipping a Finger (like one does as he bites to draw blood for a Summoning Jutsu)
C Rank Genjutsu: Low level Physical Attacks, Bitting a chunk of your Cheek
B Rank Genjutsu: Low ranked Taijutsu/Freestyle
A Rank Genjutsu: High ranked Taijutsu, Stabbing Yourself in minor muscle, Cutting yourself, Breaking Smaller bones, Low level Burning/Voltage, Painful Cold
S Rank Genjutsu: EIG/Sage level Taijutsu, Breaking Bones, Deep Stabs or cuts, Medium Voltage/Burning, Extreme Painful Cold, Bitting your tongue off

"After that, you spoke of Kai. Once we get there, its a technique. We'll cover the ranks and stuff then, but it basically causes a "spike" in the chakra. The thing is, a single hand seal is required. This means that if you are under a Genjutsu that causes paralysis, you can't form said hand seal and have to resort to either a chakra surge (that doesn't require a hand seal) or pain.

Then, a surge of chakra as you said. This is caused by a technique that releases a large amount of chakra from your tenketsu all at once. These are techniques like Chidori Nagashi or Hardening technique. The surge technique, if elemental, has to be a rank higher than the Genjutsu (Chidori Nagashi is A rank, and breaks up to B rank Genjutsu). For Raw Chakra surge techniques, like Gentle Fist, it has to be 2 ranks higher."

Elijah then paused for a moment.

"Lastly, the one you missed. Is introducing a foreign chakra into your system. This is in the form of activating a Curse Mark, entering the Eight Inner Gates, activating Sage Mode or when you have a Jinchuuriki to help you snap out of it. All these methods can only be used once you have realized its a Genjutsu. Anyway, now that we covered that..what do you know about Genjutsu Layering?"

Elijah asks with a smile on his face.

Roxas catches the scroll and intently looks through it while listening to his sensei, finshed he puts it away in his pouch, looking up he sees a smile stratch across his teachers face while finishing up with a question.

Roxas ponders the thought momentarily and then answers. Layering genjutsu, from what i know layering genjutsu is a possible and extremely usefull way of using genjutsu, you can strip them of thier hearing and then thier hearing with two genjutsu, though from what i understand you cant have two jutsu that perform the same thing as the higher ranked one would just break the lower one, effectivley waisting a move... Ehm.. Chakra... I may have gotten that backwards or wrong in general but im here to learn from my mistakes..

He wasn't that ignorant after all, at least, about the ways of Genjutsu. Elijah could see his studnt effectively using Genjutsu in the future. Nonetheless, he simply nodded his head, showing his student that he got some part of it correct.

"Not bad. Layering Genjutsu, is when one induces more than one, non conflicting Genjutsu on the opponent, which makes the Genjutsu deeper, or more difficult to break. This is done by using the higher ranking one first, and then the lower ranking one. The rank of the layered Genjutsu, is always the rank, of the Genjutsu that is the highest. So if you use an A rank, and then a B rank, the layered Genjutsu, in total, would be A rank. If the weaker one is used first, the second higher ranking one would flush out the chakra, and cause the higher ranking one to remain. Up to 2 Genjutsu can be layered, at most."

Elijah then watched his student intently, knowing that he understood.

"When breaking the layered Genjutsu, one has to break the higher ranking one, to break it all. If you break the lower ranking one first, the other one remains. If the Genjutsu are conflicting, then the higher ranking one prevails, and if they are the same rank, they simply neutralize each other. You got it?"

Elijah asks. His voice, stern and determined.

Roxas listening intensely to his teacher, as he comes to an end roxas nodding his head and responds Got it sensei!

Elijah heard his student's voice. He was now quite excited to get to the techniques. Elijah smiled, and opened his small suitcase.

"Alright, great. Now, I will explain the technique to you, then I want you to perform the technique against my clone, give me at least two advantages and disadvantages of said technique, and how you would use it in battle.

Now the first technique is a simple one. You will use your chakra, to induce an illusion on the opponent. You will then change the terrain to your liking, in order to fool the opponent. However, only the terrain can be altered, and no other aspect. You can be creative with it, and hide objects, make fake holes etc. Make it unique, and use it against my clone (plus the other stuff I listed)."

Elijah creates a clone that dashes towards his student, Roxas.

Elijah heard his student's voice. He was now quite excited to get to the techniques. Elijah smiled, and opened his small suitcase.

"Alright, great. Now, I will explain the technique to you, then I want you to perform the technique against my clone, give me at least two advantages and disadvantages of said technique, and how you would use it in battle.

As Elijah's clone closes in on Roxas, he gathers a good portion of chakra and directs it into his body afflicting the way he views the battlefield, as he approaches short range a deep crevice would begin to form rapidly widening even further as your clone starts to back up (<~ going off of natural reaction here) he finds himself backed up against the wall of a cliff, roxas then further throws a couple shuriken aimed at his neck to quickly disperse the clone before the genjutsu is broken.

Elijah crosses his arms, as he waits for Roxas to continue. His face, very welcoming though.
