What is your opinion on white knighting?

For those who aren't familiar with the term,white knighting is when someone on the internet(usually male) jumps to the defense of a woman in hopes of getting something in return.Typically if a woman is in a argument or debate online these guys will show up and attack anyone she's arguing with,no matter if the woman wants their help or not.

Personally I find it annoying,I know some women who usually have dumb arguments or just flatout lying about certain things.BUT the minute you correct her or say she's wrong,some dipshit comes along and throws all self respect out of the window by kissing her ass.Plus there are cases where the woman can handle herself online and equally finds it insulting to have a bunch of dudes speak/defend her on her behalf,when she can do it herself.

I don't know any man or woman who thinks white knighting isn't pathetic,except those who love having a army of sycophants at their disposal.

There are white knights in real life and the way to cure them is to put them in a life or death situation where they will die if they act up and mess with you for a woman. When they're put in such a situation, most of them will cower and show their true colors. It's not illegal to use deadly force if it's in self defense.
