Naruto's shadow clones are the result of his Chakra

Boruto used the device which did everything for him, aside from the techniques he put in there themselves.

I'm not talking about the clones, but he device.

With Bolt, all he had to is use the scroll device. He may be able to use the clones skillfully, but that has nothing to do with using the scroll device.

With Naruto, even if he uses kurama chakra, he still must be able to skillfully control the chakra and perform the clone jutsu. IE: When Naruto fought Neji and he blocked Naruto's chakra path, if Naruto wouldn't learned how to control kurama's chakra the battle would have been over.

Place Bolt in that situation and it wouldn't have made a different, but he still would have been able to use the scroll device. All he is doing is releasing the jutsu that has been placed in the scroll device.

That scroll device would've ran out at some point. XD

No it's not cheating. It's using one of (or in Narutos case, his only technique) to it's fullest potential. Not to mention the skill itself is forbidden and is extremely hard to perfect.

We've seen time and time again that mindlessly spawning shadow clones will result in them either getting H2H handled or killed with an AoE attack.

Try harder next time though!

Naruto doesn't have unlimited chakra.

A jutsu that he (Naruto) is able to perform.

It doesn't matter how much chakra Naruto has, if he doesnt' have to skill to perform a certain jutsu (shadow clone) then he can't perform it.

Who is at a greater disadvantage?

A. A person who is fighting against hundreds and hundreds of shadow clones?

B. A person who is fighting against somebody who can use 5 elements jutsus, summon a large numbers of shadow clones here and there?

A skilled person would realize that other person is using a device and find a way to beat him.

A skilled person with average chakra supply will be overpowered by hundreds and hundreds of shadow clones.

It's literally the same thing depending on prep the device user has...except the user of the device won't be strained at all.

For one, the device was banned from the Chunin Exams, number two there is no effort or skill into using that device. Naruto still has to mold and control the chakra that the Kyuubi gives him, essentially it is his own chakra too, since the source is literally from the inside of his body.

Boruto just has to store techniques into scrolls and the device automatically uses them with no side affects at all.

It depends.

For the majority all Boruto had to do was ask Katasuke for scrolls, for instance when Sasuke told him his Rasengan was kind of small looking, Sasuke was just being upfront and talking to him man to man. Boruto took that offensively, threw it, and then ran away in anger. He later came back with a scroll to increase his Rasengan size.

That doesn't require skill at all. With him using the Raiton/Suiton, it's not really clear whether he placed those techniques into the scrolls or not. Everything was happening so fast. Kishimoto does make it clear that he can use those elements, which is why you can make a correlation, but without definite proof it's meaningless.

I should be able to figure it out after a HD Cam rip comes out. I've noticed a few things when he uses those scrolls in comparison to when he attacked Momoshiki and just used the device which sent out ball versions of elemental natures, instead of actual techniques he used in the Exams.

But for now I'll leave it alone.

Well using shadow clones evenly splits your chakra amongst all clones so if Naruto made 100 clones then each clone has 1/100th the chakra. It also losers your focus since some of your focus is on maintaining the jutsu which is why when Naruto use to get hit hard enough his clones dispersed.
