Everyone probably gets sad from time to time but depression is something completely different. I would suggest finding another way to cope than just anime. Variety helps

If you ever wanna talk, I'm here :)

Trying to have fun is a little different from being depressed.

You said if you are depressed why not just get laid. That would mean you are depressed, and are using *** as a temporary release.

I mean, I know that's not how you intended it lol

Depression can be caused of 2 things.

1) your brain was formed in a way that your chemical reactions are feeding incorrectly. Either its deficient or overusing and making you crash.

Or the most likely one

2) you only look at the bad stuff in your life

Heres a challenge: see the good stuff in the bad

I have depression and anxiety issues.

I play video games really. Nothing else to do because I'm not comfortable enough to tell anyone about my problems. Pills don't help.

What about online? Chibiusa said she's willing to talk to people, try talking to her.

Don't listen to these fools. 'Doing things you enjoy' is just a way of saying bury your depression with fun. That's not how you get rid of depression. Figure out what is causing your depression. What makes you feel this way? Ask yourself this question until you can answer it. Are you failing in some portion in your life? Do you want a job but don't have one? Do you want to go to school but can't afford/can't go? Figure it out.

That's basic depression, not clinical depression but yeah, that's good advice for that.

See if you can talk to someone you trust and feel comfortable enough with about this. It could be a friend, a partner, a family member, a counselor or healthcare professional. The point is to get the social and/or professional support you might need to get through this. Someone mentioned earlier about identifying and addressing the source of your depression (if possible) and although this could help, do not feel bad or blame yourself if you are unable to do so or if it does not seem to help. Depression should not be taken lightly and is as real as any physical illness; a lot of people suffer from it so don't feel ashamed that you do as well.

Also, you might not feel like doing it when you are depressed, but exercise or any sort of physical activity may help. It could be something as simple as going for a short walk or a run.
