I believe it will end on chapter 800. Why? Because round number I guess.

Yeah that's seems to have been Odas intentions this whole time.

I just can't believe the month in which it was going to end was accurate.

Dressrosa alone took 1/8 of the manga and it still had a mini arc like Punk Hazard beforehand

Pirate Alliance Saga: 144 chapters (currently)
Water 7 Saga: 139 chapters
Alabasta Saga: 117 chapters
Summit War Saga: 108 chapters
East Blue Saga: 100 chapters
Sky Island Saga: 85 chapters
Thriller Bark Saga: 48 chapters

Y'all need to relax. The current saga barely tops the list of longest sagas in the series.

No one said the saga itself was too long. And no one said the saga will end after dressrosa.

Dressrosa has been the longest arc since november. It now stands at almost 100 chapters whereas the next longest is 66. So it is almost 50% longer than the next longest. And no guarantee that the saga itself is over. i am not complaining about the saga though, just saying dressrosa has been a bit too long.

Oda knows what he's doing. I have no reason to complain, personally DR has been an amazing arc. It offered so much.

Arcs are only parts and bits of a saga. They're like chapters of a book. Sagas come with an introduction and some sort of conclusion, while arcs are only the in-between. So my point is, judge the length of the sagas, not the arcs.

The current saga will obviously end after Dressrosa.

Thats definitely not obvious. law and Luffy still have an alliance and still plan to fight kaido.

Water 7 + Enies Lobby = 2 years and about 10 months. Punk Hazard + Dressrosa = 3 years and about 9 months and still going. And why exactly do you believe the Alliance will end? There going to take down Kaido it will happen and I see that taking at least 3 years probably longer.

The chapter number doesn't really matter it's the fact that with almost the same amount of chapters between all of these arcs there's about a years difference in length. That is the reason why people are ready for something new.

And I have loved Dressrosa but the latter part of this arc I think wasn't as good. Because you could tell Oda was stalling so this arc could reach 100 chapters.

The whole non drama with the Birdcage was just to much because you knew no one would get hurt. And the Doflamingo vs Luffy lost to much momentum after Luffy was out for awhile. I wish instead of seeing Luffy get carried around for like 5 chapters that he and Doflamingo would have just kept fighting.

Damn, I surely hope it doesn't last until October. End our suffering, Odacchi!

First of all, those numbers are irrelevant. Oda's been taking breaks because of his bad health. Secondly, no one said anything about the alliance coming to an end. Despite its name, the saga doesn't go hand in hand with Luffy and Law's alliance. Just because the saga ends, doesn't mean the alliance will, as well.
