Ffs, Kishi. Stop making everyone look like a right ****.
He did because this was a important family matter. Himawari's birthday got ruined because of it. And if you think otherwise than celebrating birthdays may not be as important to you. Secondly he was more angry towards Naruto than he was with Hinata. How is it disrespecting Hinata when his anger was more towards his father? Look away from your biased hate and try to understand. Otherwise don't bother.
I understand why he got angry. It wasn't meant for her but still he didn't treat her right. He could have dealt with his anger in a different way. Sorry I just don't like his attitude. I can understand why he did it and also not like it.
His anger towards his dad was enough to make him react that way. It happens with the most of us. I don't think it is right to judge his character that way. In the end of the squence he did seem to calm down a bit due to Hinata's words. He obviously wants a normal family life. He can't recieve it if his father is away most of the time.
I'm glad Boruto's character develops at the end of the movie at least. He becomes much more likable, appreciating his father and all....Mostly what bothers me in this scene was what he said about Naruto: "a dad like that is better off not in my life from the start."
If Boruto was perfect why would Kishi bother making a story around him? Like you said he developes in the end. Well this is one of those things he developes. Is appreciating his father.
Yeah and I'm glad he develops but I'm judging him from what I've seen and the majority of the time he's like this. Maybe I'll feel different when I see the whole movie but I'm going off what I've seen.
Ehh... I never really looked too much into what I have seen thus far. Don't get me wrong I may wank Boruto time to time. But I realistically don't really believe he is that op. His powers do impress me however his character will get a better vision by me once I see the movie. But out of curiousity what do you really think of Boruto as a character? Because I am trying to understand what you mean by the bold?
By the bold I mean I know he develops but most of what I've seen is him acting out so I can't help but judge what I've seen. Kishi does that a lot where he makes a character do bad things but shows us their background so we end up relating to the character or by the end of the story he develops the character so they're not bad anymore. ex: gaara, Sasuke. Like with Sasuke if I hadn't seen the chapters of Sasuke finally turning good again I probably would have really started to hate Sasuke for the way he was acting. I was already hating his actions but seeing how Sasuke changed fixed that for me.
But honestly I think he's really impressive as a ninja. I don't believe he's a prodigy...at least not itachi level. But he is a good ninja. I don't like his attitude nor his cheating methods. But to be fair I haven't seen the movie yet. I like that he's different from Naruto and doesn't want to be Hokage. If the series went on then I think he would end up being a really good character.
I see so you prefer characters who show positive attitude towards there loved ones. Fair enough. This was a nice read.
I'll try to keep a more open mind when I see the movie or at least when I read the novel. Yeah I do. Thanks.
You may have a huge dislike for Boruto because of the fanbase. But I really see no point of it since Boruto and Sarada are not really rivals in my opinion. Even I the hater of Sarada did not see Sarada questioning her father a low point. At the same time I expect the same from Boruto haters. All bias aside these two characters are pretty decent characters of there generation. The only thing I don't like about Sarada is her powers. Don't let the fanbase of NB ruin your true thinking of a character. Its not worth it for the long run.
And oh no prob.
Well the fanbase doesn't help for sure. I'd still be annoyed by Boruto's actions but it'd be a lot easier to look past and easier to get over too. I would mostly keep it to myself and legitimately try and enjoy his character. Because not liking a character of a main series isn't fun. I've disliked main characters before and didn't like it because I couldn't enjoy the show/movie for what it was worth. So I'd either stop watching the show or try again to like the character.
If Naruto the series didn't exist and the story started with Boruto they definitely wouldn't be pitted against each other. The Boruto vs Sarada thing comes from a lot of bias. From stupid Naruto vs Sasuke, Hinata vs Sakura, NH vs SS bias.
Your basically saying he shouldn't suffer because someone else suffers differently. Yes, what he said to Naruto was harsh, but it had some meaning to it. Naruto is a bad father, Naruto says it himself, he makes the effort but things happen to go wrong. Boruto does take it into consideration, he warns Naruto of this, in the novel it goes more into Boruto's thoughts. Where Boruto wanted Naruto to be there for sure because Himawari is too young to realize what a Hokage means to Naruto and the Village (whether they allow this in the movie is uncertain, I don't understand Japanese).Being angry is fine but he didn't have to take it that far. Especiallly considering the things he said about Naruto. Sarada and Boruto's circumstances are completely different. A dropped cake on a birthday vs thinking your dad abandoned you/cheated on your mom are hardly comparable.
I can relate to that. I dropped Accel World anime after realizing the main character was fat and wimpy.
Well even now I really don't see the point of pitting them against each other. Since there realationship is more pairing related than rivalry.

I guess she really is six? Sadly though... It also says Naruto missed Boruto's own birthday, and he really wanted to make this day special for Himawari. While he may have his faults for sure, he definitely cares about his family, which is evident. This is why he acts out like this, and why it frustrates him so much when they are hurt.
Can we just agree that his actions aren't always selfish?
