Boruto: Naruto The Movie still ranked fifth in the latest weekend box office of August 22-23. The 11th Naruto film has earned 2,022,922,500 yen on 1,564,785 ticket sales in 19 days since its release in Japan on August 7, becoming the top-grossing film in the anime franchise started in 2002. The previous record was 2 billion yen marked by The Last: Naruto The Movie released in December 2014.

The original creator Masashi Kishimoto has denied the possibilities of any more sequels, saying "Impossible. Please give me some rest." at the July 28 event in Tokyo. But considering this huge success, it seems the demand for more adventures of Naruto's son may remain for a while.

Kind of expected, but good to know.

Kishimoto said:
Impossible. Please give me some rest.
Lmao, so that means Sarada will canonically remain an Uchiha with a 1T Sharingan that punches the ground. Just great, glad to see the Uchiha revived to their former glory.

>"I won't make sequels until you keep throwing me money"
>" I need muh rest"
In other words Kishi only does fanservice
No surprise

2014 was Naruto's 15th Anniversary.

Given the pace of SP milking out the anime. By the time they finish, it'll be 2019. Right on time for Naruto's 20th anniversary. Complete with new games, more one shots from Kishi and an update of the NV.

It's business. Kishi and the studios are here to make money, and clearly since there's still a lot of interest in the series there's plenty of money to be made. Continuing the series is easy money, even if Kishi is tired of writing and doesn't care to continue the series it'll always be successful. Regardless of what Kishi says or even wants, there's going to be a continuation of the story eventually because there's still so much money to be made.

Doesn't change the facts that they're sellouts

Milking a series to death is being a sell out
It doesn't change the fact, whether you think it's bad or good
Well Kishi is stepping away, and has wanted to for about year.

SP, like Toei (for Dragon Ball), and Bandai (Gundam, Super Sentai, Sailor Moon) are the one who want to milk the series for all it's worth. SP just sucks at the animation department. Toei and Bandai productions never look as cheap as SP's.

Pretty much. He must have not been around when star wars was getting milked (still is). Over-saturated literally everything form of media with Star wars,
