I don't know how you're differentiating chakra reserves and chakra pool, but I'll discard that and put it another way. Edo Hashirama has unlimited chakra quantity. So does anything else matter? He could also create clones and pull of the barrier if that was possible instead of engaging other Hokages.

If Edos had infinite chakra, Hashi and Tobirama should have been able to make the same number of clones in the barrier.. no?
so Edos don't really have chakra infinite chakra quantity..
Before you say they decided on the number of clones to make.. remember Hashi said he could only make four and Tobiram could only make two iirc
