Is it true that the world could end/get hit by asteroid next year?

I'm just wondering cause stuff my friend told me cause he told me about the blood moon stuff and how in September 23/24 the final blood moon will happen and a world wide event of some sorts will happen, anyway my friend told me that he suspects that on that day the world wide event that will happen is that and asteroid could/might/will hit the earth,it sounds sill/far-fetched but he's into all these conspiracy stuff and bible prophecy stuff and well even though I don't want to believe him he seems to know what he's talking about and what has me convinced that he's telling me the truth is that I know him so well from when we were at nursery together and he's never lied to me before plus I know when he's taking the piss and when he told me about the asteroid....for some reason I believed him plus he seemed shaken and he's not one to be scared so easily, could someone please put my mind at rest and tell me that it's not true cause well September is nearly here and as it gets closer I'm getting a bad feeling in my gut, the kind of feeling that most people have when they have a feeling that something bad might happen............then it does plus I've also heard and seen stuff with my own eyes and ears on the internet that has me convinced which scares me because I'm not one to believe everything I see or hear but for some reason I believe this.

There is actually a high probability that an asteorid might hit earth at any time, due to the fact that we are not able to observe every object all the time. About two weeks ago scientists discovered an asteorid with a diameter of 500m which passed Earths orbit around 24 hours after they discovered it. It missed Earth about a few million kilometers which is not much. A few hours earlier and we might have been hit.

Anything can happen on any day I bet if the stock market crash happened during the day of a blood moon you'd call that a fated event :|, you're basically looking at how the moon aligns with the earth and the sun, the moon's color in space doesn't change but due to the reflection it appears to, and where is this "credible" asteroid source? Is it the same source that said the earth will end in the year 2012 ? If he's into bible prophesies then he should know that 1.learn physics, if an asteroid was coming at earth by any trajectory, there could be several things that could throw it off course, the chance of an asteroid hitting earth is the same chance of a comet even mar's gravitational pool could affect the trajectory, 2. Nobody knows when the earth will end, if anything the earth itself isn't ending until the sun starts the process of becoming a planetary nebula, and you two believe that an asteroid is a hint? Asteroid=mountain? Now you're reaching. Either A, you already know you're wrong because I've already provided scientific evidence of why blood moons happen or B. You seriously believe this. It's kind of like saying that if I jump something magical will happen, if I only jump 4 times a day then that means 4 magical events, but what if I jump sooner than expected does the event time to change to? You're fine, I learned my lesson with 2012 trying to tell people the world isn't going to end in December 2012 and they were trying to show me endless evidence of how it will, and lo and behold we are still here, there's no point in trying to convince someone of something if they aren't willing to accept it, just let true science do the work for me, worked in 2000 and 2012.

Yes it could, is it likely is a different question entirely but yes it is possible.

Funnily Enough, that's what I meant to say, an asteroid is apparently gonna hit us next month and from what I've heard and read it could happen and it's not just one person saying it.....loads of people are saying it and if loads of people are saying it then surely there must be some truth in it somewhere even if it's 10% true.
