I wanted Naruto to fail most of the time, and I wanted Sasuke to succeed most of the time. In that manner, the largest and the most corrupt juggernaut within Shinobi system would have met its rightful and long overdue end, and the smaller villages would have received the justice they actually deserved.

Eventually, they would have thrived. The tailed beasts should have been killed or sealed away permanently for the lasting future of NV. With such volatile and destructive weapons out of Man's hand, things would have actually changed for the better. But alas ...

That's one way to see it. Doesn't sound too bad either. But I believe the way you said it and Naruto's way are both good.

Although if Sasuke won the series would need be a bittersweet tradegy.

Hago. stated the tailed beasts was made to be balancer for the world, but in the end they had been used as weapons. Naruto utilized them the best.

Honestly, Naruto shouldn't had become the hokage. He is setting the same example as the 1st hokage. As long you the strongest, you can make the world do what you want it to do. Naruto is better off been the "avatar" of the world.

The problem here is that Naruto should have never praised Obito the way that he did. Tbh I really do get why Naruto said what he did. Naruto was flooded with all of Obito's memories during the tug of war and he knows Obito just as well as Obito knew himself when he said that. Obito was the type of person that Naruto would definitely look up to, but all of that sentiment doesn't cancel out the fact of all that Obito did. And in Naruto calling Obito the coolest that is exactly what Naruto was doing. He was only acknowledging the good Obito.

As for the Sasuke Naruto didn't accept anything regarding Sasuke. He just refused to let the person that was his first friend and whose pain Naruto could relate to to continue to go down that bad road.
Naruto saving Sasuke was his own selfishness and I have no problem with that.
Naruto never praised Sasuke like Obito and that is why I have no problem with Naruto forgiving Sasuke.

I definitely wanted Sasuke to create his own village by assimilating Akatsuki and all the individuals that got the short end of the Shinobi system's stick. It would have been a wonderful plot and it was still active till Kishimoto didn't magically forget about Kabuto and Obito's deal.
