Rinnegan is nothing special in this series. SM Naruto defeated Rinnegan user 300 chapters ago so it is not that special power.

If rinnegan is so much powerful then why madara, pein, obito and momosiki needed bijuus and sagemode to get stronger?
Everyone tried to get senjutsu just to become stronger. Rinnegan madara and obito got soloed by SA and kages but after getting six paths of senjutsu, they became immortal.

In Naruto manga, only senjutsu of six paths users superior to anything else. Rinnegan is nothing. Naruto >>> Sasuke.
Let alone above mangafacts for a moment, think if someone struggling for getting sage mode and bijuus even after getting rinnegan then what would it prove? Simple, it means they are trying to attain some new better power to get stronger.

What Senjutsu of six paths grants which other powers dont? Here is a list:

• Black orbs which are faster than kamui... Yeah faster than Kamui
  You must be registered for see links
• All Elements and kkg's
• Even better power than KKG's and KKT's
• Different Bijuus powers.
• Incredible fast (naruto speed blitz kaguya, the one who easily dodged sasuke's S/T technique but couldnt able to dodge naruto's speed)
  
• Best Reflexes( even make user to counter or react to FTG speed , Kaguya's dimension shifting power)
• Orbs Shield
• Nonuboku sword
• Allow user to make unbreakable RED BARRIER SEAL
• Omyouden (No jutsu/technique could work on User except SM techniques)
• UNLIMITED CHAKRA
• Many many more

I am not saying that rinnegan is useless. Rinnegan is indeed powerful but lower than six paths of senjutsu.

I meant kages and SA. They really did but only ten tails was the hindrance for SA. when i say SA, it includes GAI,KAKASHI and other leaf strong shinobis too.

I mean it's true. If we're comparing senjutsu to Rinnegan, both in facts and manga progression senjutsu in itself is superior.

The only reason Rinnegan appeared more important at first is because it's a doujutsu and how much emphasis was placed on the Uchiha's connection to the Sage. We didn't get a good understanding of what the "body" aspect of the sage's power meant until the manga was nearing it's end. The only thing we had concrete was the Rinnegan so that's what we went with.

But we saw that even after seeing several people possess the Rinnegan that it in itself didn't equate to the true power of the sage. Once the pieces fell into place and senjutsu was explained and applied, we saw this is where the true power came from.

A perfect example is that Nagato, who was originally thought to be on par with Hago just off of having the Rinnegan and little intel about the Sage, isn't even close to sage senjutsu Naruto. Also note that Sasuke was stated to even have some of Hago's chakra even to go along with his Rinnegan. While Naruto only got the senjutsu without any Rinnegan benefits. Yet they still came out as equals.

Basically, senjutsu was really what we thought the Rinnegan was all along. The true key to having power equivalent to the Sage. That's why the Sage chose the younger son, and why Naruto was the child of prophecy who was given the tailed beasts and Hago's true strength

Kishi really messed up big time. He had nagato show off all this rinnegan power, then tried to make it that sage mode is in the same class of it. Then give Naruto chakra mode which can nearly read people's mind and shit. At this point, Kishi made rinnegan look like a regular tool. Then he tried to hype it back up with Madara, but failed.

Then he tried to hype up the rinnegan in Bourto movie, but failed again by making it get destroyed by bolt so easily.

In the end, it seems like that sharingan is more powerful than the rinnegan.

Regarding manga scan, naruto was not in BSM. he was in BM at that time. If he was in BSM, then he surely could dodged because he could sense it. In short, plot requirement.

When were they ever defeated by the SA? Obito became the juubi jin and Madara later finished his IT plan. If Hago didn't show up it would have been over.

Because he knew Rinnegan > Senjutsu of Six Paths. He got the crap beaten out of him by Naruto and Sasuke when he had Senjutsu of Six Paths, he only gained the upper hand when he got the Rinnegan.

Obito feared that Madara getting both Rinnegans would be catastrophic beyond imagination. That's why he was planning to crush his left Rinnegan. He showed no such fear regarding Madara's Senjutsu of Six Paths.

Rinnegan is the most special power in the series. Black Zetsu spent centuries after Indra's reincarnations for what? For them to awaken the Rinnegan. Why didn't he provoke Ashura's reincarnations to awaken Senjutsu of Six Paths? Because he knew Senjutsu of Six Paths wasn't worth anything in his plans and not as special as Rinnegan.

Yup, this is what I want to ask as well.

I'm not sure that the rinnegan or the senjutsu are inherently superior or inferior to each other. The reason BZ spent so much time trying to awaken the rinnegan is because that was the easier one to achieve, mix the chakras in the body of Indra's incarnate and voila. Through the use of the rinnegan, at least in the use of madara, capturing the tailed beasts was child play. Once he became the juubis jinchuriki, he then acquired six paths senjutsu as well.

Obito wasn't freaking out over madara getting both rinnegan because the rinnegan is so far above the senjutsu, obito was freaking out because if madara had both rinnegan AND senjutsu? Now, that's a serious threat.

Obito wasn't worried about madaras senjutsu because madara already had the senjutsu, there was nothing that anyone could do about that. But obito could have prevent madara from getting both rinnegan back.

TL;DR - rinnegan and senjutsu are both terrifyingly powerful, and incredibly special. The only reason rinnegan showed up more often was because of madara and his ****ery. Bring in more juubi jinchurikis and we'll see more six paths sages, too

Rinnegan is depends on user chakra. Massive reserve mean more powerful rinnegan.

But RSM can out class rinnegan with speed. Speed is the only way for someone to defeat Rinnegan user.
