It's essentially the same game.

There are three teams in ToS

Villagers
Mafia
Chaotic/Neutral

The villagers tries to keep the chaotic and mafia from winning.
The mafia tries to kill all the neutral and villager roles from winning.
The chaotic roles are usually just one person and they try to keep both sides from winning.

Each game takes about 15 minutes and everyone gets an active role (meaning no one just votes)

the game is decently fun if you dont get any rage quitters

idk i used to host them a while back but that was when there were only four roles.

I think the game with only four roles was better, it was more simple and more fun now almost every player in a game has a role with only like 1 or 2 officers

when i first started playing i believe there were only officers, shinigami, and kira. i invented the L role to give the officers more of a chance but also to add more unique ability roles. i would often find that at least half of the officers would just afk simply because they werent happy with their role. i think people kept adding new roles to keep players from getting bored.
