WTF is up with Oro?

Can anyone explain to me why in Gaiden he didn't snag a sharingan from all his Shin clones? Or better yet, why not just posses one of the Shin bodies since they can obviously handle dojutsus? It's just so weird to see Oro find a way to clone sharingans after years of stalking Sasuke but never keep one for himself.

Now that I think about it he passed up the opportunity to get one while working on Danzo too.

what's stupid is that kishi didn't make a story out of orochimaru having a senju body.
this gave him the opportunity to achieve the power of so6p by transplanting uchiha eyes into his own body. didnt even need sasuke anymore. but w/e i guess kishi was over it.
