You've addressed totally the wrong person to call coward. I don't see someone who always takes on or willing to pick a fight against much stronger opponents "coward". He only fought one weak person, and that was only due to convenience and requirement of the time. The rest he fought were all stronger like Killer Bee, 5 Kages and Leaf Village (planned to fight). I don't see so much cowardliness in that. But perhaps, our point of views are different. Maybe, I see everything and you just see the negatives. That could be the reason.

I don't see how people are really hating on Sasuke for his choice. Honestly this was the smartest decision he'd made in a long time it was either: Fight Orochimaru when he had prep = Sasuke Lose or Fight Orochimaru when his guard was low = Sasuke Win.
