Medical Nin Appreciation Thread

I noticed Medical Nin get a lot of hate. They really are an important and powerful part of a team. When they aren't being compared to Naruto and Sasuke, they serve great purpose in Using and Counteracting poison, Healing Teammates, Relaying information, and to top it off, most can hold their own in a fight, even if they aren't battle adept.

Of course they get a lot hate. Just like on Final Fantasy XI online. They better be flawless with their healing and stay out of the way. Damage dealers shouldn't have to protect them. If they need to be save, they're trash!

Now how many time Sakura needed to save?

Man, I remember one time in a party on FF11, A white mage(a healer job) tried to heal and fight mobs with the ninja, samurai, and monk! The leader of the party kicked her off! Telling her that her only job is to heal. Nothing else! Stop trying to be useful and just be useful!

That's Sakura! Trying to be useful, but won't be useful.

I stated this clear as day, but they are important to the team. To be able to heal is to essentially be the engine on a car rolling down a hill. Once they reach the bottom, without the engine, you can't go anywhere.

About a little less than her counterparts. There's also the application of lethal medical ninjutsu that has yet to be shown.

Had Kishi actually took the time to focus on them I would understand your point. But fact is they were nothing but support roles that were made for characters to get busy.

It was a lot more prevalent in the beginning of part 2, and the middle of the war. After that, everything was either self healing or insta kill.

Yeah the begining of part 2 it seemed even Sakura's character had my respect. It was just never consistent enough to acknowledge as something cool.

Only that they don't solely exist to heal Naruto, and once he's low on chakra, or gravely injured even he can't heal some things.

In that case, I don't believe he still possesses that. And I think that was just the Yang part of COAT. He could make new flesh. Which leads me to believe Sasuke should have theoretically had revival power, to breathe life into things.

Relaying information will fall on any one team member what you seem to be thinking of is a coordinator which is called the team captain.That has nothing to do with the medical field so you can't just say its something only medics bring to the table.
Secondly,no most if not all except two can throw caution into the wind and begin combating instead of doing what they are suppose to do ....which is heal.


Tsunade made it VERY clear what the position of a medic is.
And until Sakura nobody else has learned the Yin seal or strength of a hundred men.
So no,No medics will be fighting along side their team and if they did there not going to be exceptional in that field along with being the medic.

Its what the last rule tsuande stated hinges on.And you are kinda ignoring that very important statement.


For someone who wants to preach the awesomeness of medics,you sure don't know much about them or their role.

Yet Kabuto was battle adept, Shizune was shown to not shy away from Battle, and in the Anime, was actually involved in multiple fights, Ino, put herself in the line of fire constantly.

Every prevalent medical nin can fight and has been stated to have some type of ability. Sakura fought multiple times before completing her seal, obviously no one listens to Tsunade.

Medical Nins are generally more intelligent that their counterparts, and due to their nature of not battling head on, are often used to relay info.

Talking about an application never seen in the series does not help your case.

And who cares if someone can conjure up some lethal toxin or create a chakra scalpel.
All that rewuires a medic to disobey the rules they are brought up on.

So leave the combat to the actual ninja lol
