Do we even know for sure Hidan's techniques would work on Suigetsu at all?
Like, say Hidan somehow draws his blood, and performs the ritual. Say he impales himself the same way he did to Asuma - What if Suigetsu turns to water form the moment the metal is about to pierce Hidan's flesh? Would the damage be done? I mean, how does that even function? Would the damage and pain be transferred anyway, or would it prove useless?

Hidan wins by attrition. He's far faster so he just needs to keep attacking Suigetsu until he can no longer liquefy. Nothing Suigetsu does can end Hidan.
