Little by little
Pieces of reality
Drips across my face
Along with the rain
Alone with myself
I'm soaked to the bone in guilt
On everything I look at I am not the same as I used to be
Where was I when this transition happened
Was I really that far gone
Faces fade away just like memories
Sleepy
Sleepy hollow
Inside solitude
Happiness here
But confusion lies dormant
What becomes of me
If you can call this me
I think you can
I mean what else do I have
The piano plays silently in the background
While I sit here and think
Beautifully going up and down the notes scorching then fading as though haunting my existence
My inner Shell
Shedding as though a snake adapting to the environment
Excitement flows threw me as the keys have been hit
This is an enticing feeling
Now it's just been taken away
Left is the faintness of the adrenaline that was here just a second ago
Bracing myself of what might happen next
But truly realizing you can never be truly prepared for the future
Anything can happen
This Melody is sad but beautiful
The irony is that it makes me feel at peace but at the same time my mind and emotions are racing
Racing to that finish line though never wanting that feeling to stop
