Nothing beats Part I taijutsu

Every time I watch a Part 1 taijutsu fight I get so excited. IMO they're still some of the best fights in the entire series.

So much nostalgia, and Part 1 Lee was a beast.

Totally agree. I've been re-watching the old school fights and it really makes me miss what the series used to be. Kishi and SP used to be so much more invested. The dialogue, the pacing, the music.... Everything was better.

So true. They used to take their time and make it a thorough experience.

Same here bro. I just re-watched the Lee vs Shira fight. Even though it's from a Part II filler it's one of the few that was handled in a Part 1 fashion. Everyone is analyzing the fight, there's meaningful flashbacks, and the suspense was built up.

Nah I think part 2 has its fair share too, but mostly thanks to Yamashita who is Shippuden's star animator.

Lee's fights are the fights I actually watch again, so agree. Part 1 was especially good because you had the Chunin exams, where a lot of new characters all got development (heh, except Tenten).
