Or perhaps they could tell bullshit when they see it. Gaiden was so phoned in and so half-assed, that any attempt to justify it, seems ludicrous. Nothing constructive or meaningful was done with Gaiden. It was just a 10 week exercise in trolling the fandom, with SasuSaku baby mama drama.

A least Kishi could tell us he's going to deliberately waste out time.

It was a short story meant to just show you some new character maybe you just were taking it to serious. When has kishi ever done anything notable in a single ten chapters. I got to see some ofmy favorite characters as adults and they are way cooler than they were as teens. i had fun and found it entertaining the whole way through

Lmao people are not even acknowledging the OP's opinion, Gaiden was decent, and had you all hooked and craving for spoilers and content for 10 weeks. xd

I'm not mad, I'm disappointed.

Naruto's ending was uneven and Gaiden could've been so much more, but it doesn't aspire to be anything but troll of the readership.

Mostly yea.

What was the purpose of spending 10 weeks/10 chapters casting doubt on Sarada's parentage? What did Kishi hope to accomplish with that?

Bad trolling. Can't believe how many people here fell for it.

Why have Sasuke absent from 12 years of his daughter's life, only for them to finally meet and Sasuke tell her to mind her own business?

Lol why are some people still saying 12 years? Sarada is not even 12 that's been debunked from chapter 5, he's been absent for more like 7-8 years, he was there up till she could walk and form memories.

Sasuke told her to mind her own business because he did not want to reveal his mission to her, the whole point of him being absent in the first place. It sucked but that's why.

Why was Shin and the Shin clones created? What purpose to they facilitate in the story? Would anything change if they were removed from the story?

Just villains for the mini-series that also provide a backstory for Danzo's Sharingan arm, and to introduce the orphanage as well.

What does Gaiden have to do with the alleged Kaguya remnants, that were stated to be the basis for the Boruto movie villains?
According to the Boruto Spoilers, the alleged Kaguya remnants don't exists, as Momoshinki and Kinishi come from another planet/dimension.

Not much expect for the providing the reason for Sasuke's absence, which was a core plot point.

What did Gaiden accomplish?

Sarada's characterization and dream as well as this.

These questions do not have good answers. There was nothing writable here. Nothing playable. Who cares?

Yea it was rushed, especially towards the end, Kishi himself stated this.

some of these ppl are just being negative because the Gaiden destroyed their assumptions, they can't provide legitimate reasons why it was bad other than just to be negative about it, because they didn't like Salad being the focal character, or any combination of the 3. I'm not saying it was the best thing i ever read, but i still had very few issues with the Gaiden.

Gaiden was bad because it only focused on one next Gen child and did it nothing with it. Now I have no problem with Sarada being the main character however Kishi forced drama within the SSS family which the drama was just one big misunderstanding that could have been easily crushed had Sakura told Sarada about her birth and Karin before and not to mention had Sasuke bothered to contact Sarada in anyway. We woudln't have to sit through 10 chapters of straight SSS retarded maury type family drama.

Then the villains weren't even good. Once again Kishimoto BS'd the villains to only hype up action to keep readers who don't care about this pairing sh-t interested but failed at the being that they failed at their plan within 4 chapters. There was no need to make those villains and not to mention they offered nothing to the plot but giving some speech about parents and children which could've been delivered by Orochimaru at best if it really mattered but then again the family drama was so extra.

Problem was instead of focusing on the Next Gen as a whole fully aware that Boruto The Movie wouldn't do all the characters justice, Kishimoto chose to put the SSS family drama in the center. Hell Boruto The Movie would've been just as a good and entertaining if it had Boruto and Sarada going through daddy issues together and the end resolution being "I want to be like your Dad". Characters like Metal Lee suffered some serious lack of panel time(Not even having a single line in the movie) yet he is apart of the new Gen. It's pretty evident that Kishimoto does sh-t and doesn't use their purpose correctly.

Gaiden had the potential to expand on ALL the next Gen while Boruto focused on Boruto and Sarada but Sarada took gaiden and had BS fam drama. Boruto took the movie and had more BS fam drama. :sdo: I didn't get to see the Next Gen in the light I wanted and it just made Gaiden not that enjoyable.

The entire story of Gaiden didn't make any sense and just insulted the reader's intelligence.

I don't know where to start...perhaps the fact that there was no reason for Sakura to cover up that photo of Karin?

I love how you cropped that image which showed that he had his other arm. Did Sasuke get a new arm back then?

I love how you cropped that image which showed that he had his other arm, which implies it was another imagination like the other image of Sasuke.

He only had one arm. It's just a stump on the other side.

No, that his elbow. Sarada actually believes he has two arms.

So in that "memory" Sasuke has two arms.

Unlike her anticipated hug, that wasn't an imagination, that whole flashback was a sequence of memories in chronological order from when she was youngest to oldest, that memory was fuzzy because she was too young, this is also consistent with Sasuke knowing her (Sakura was with him outside the village during birth) and Naruto thinking that Sarada knows her father well.

I didn't crop the image I found it like that (it's part of the second image I linked in the post), he doesn't appear to have a full left arm in the complete scan. we only see a bump because of his short sleeve. The volume release version also fixed his proportions.

She is remembering.

If that is memory why did she expected him to have two arms? If it is that means Kishi rushed it so much that he wasn't paying attention to what was previously established. Adding to the list of plot holes in the Gaiden.
