I doubt even Pierrot can screw this up. The only thing they have to accurately portray is Arima's mystery and him being badass. We learn pretty much nothing about him or anything important to the main story line, anyway.

Well it's not like a filler, this whole ova jack was written by ishida or someone else I think and exists in a manga form, basically they will just animate that.

I know. I've read it, and that's how I know that pretty much nothing about Arima himself is actually revealed, nor is anything else relevant to the main story.

Well not exactly, for instace if this how Arima really was in his youth, then the next question would be how he grew up in such a manner, from that age to fight ghouls, that alone is a pretty interesting topic.

Most interesting moments/questions in Tokyo Ghoul Jack, imo were :
1: The ghoul (Minami) feigned as a human and fooled other ghouls by drenching herself in blood.
I always assumed that a ghoul's nose couldn't be fooled (to a certain extent)- I expect to see this artifice utilized again.
2. Yamori's momentary screen-time - this guy was involved in a lot more- we'll be seeing him again in one form or the other. (torture scene again please?)
3. Arima's developed display of empathy towards Taishi ( his development was nice too). It resonated quite nicely since we're so used to seeing the cold-blooded prodigy dismembering all these ghouls. He is human, after-all.
4. What if Arima's IXA (or part of it) is made from Minami's kakuhou?

Yeah... you pretty much confirmed what I said - that nothing was actually revealed, and even more questions arose.

I agree with your theory- although maybe not with Haise, I think Tokage has his sights on Mitsuki. Either way, this guy is danger.

As for the next chapter: I think we're going to be introduced to some new ghouls (maybe a replacement for the twins), fighting w/ Quinx (maybe Urie in action), and Saiko might land herself in trouble. It should really start picking up the pace.
as for the anime, I don't watch it and I could be wrong but didn't they decide to write their own story? Now they're returning to canon material? does this mean they're going to remake the anime or simple skip to Re:?
