when it comes to pacing lol. naruto's main manga is already finished yet they're putting up to fillers and they hv 1 more series to animate and another movie (which is stupid if u ask me lol)

yet , one piece anime is in dressrosa and it's not that far when u compare the manga chapter that the anime of one piece is to the current one , yet they dont go to filler like naruto lol.

It's because they adapt 6 pages of manga per episode. They have a lot of "in-canon" filler so they don't have to interrupt the story like with Naruto

There's actually a project called One Pace. It's OP episodes with better pacing. They take like 2-3 OP episodes and edited them into one episode (while still retaining the same time as a regular OP episode). I can give you the link to the site if you want.
