I think that being politically correct is necessary. We may not like it at times, but it helps keep things in check, and actually helps keep our moral compass active.

One could say not being politically correct is very primitive, leading to a thought process that is outdated and offensive. But honestly, I think that political correctness in most instances was a cataclysm that brought forth critical thinking in a lot of different areas because it brought forth opposing views.
