As much as I hate to admit it NaruSaku would have had the most believability as far as development and character interaction goes. You actually got to see them grow closer together and show how much they mutually care for each other where as NaruHina and SasuSaku were both kind of one sided for the most part.

And for the record, my OTP is NaruHina so there is not so much as butthurt on my part about SS as there is irritation at the awful message that the pairing sends.....I don't even like Sakura and I'm pissed off on her behalf....

SS fans can respond with all the hyperbolic love between them and excuses that do nothing but expose their delusion, desperation, and low standards in terms of romance all they want-but the fact that Sasuke friggin leaves the village AGAIN (according to the novel...I'm sure you've all seen that thread by now)...and Kishi having kept the family apart with ZERO contact for 12 years (and miss me with the bull shit "no where does it say he never contacted them over the 12 years' bc that is CLEARLY the message Kishi was sending in the Gaiden).....tells me that Kishi never wanted this pairing and its all for the sake of a pat 3 and/or pressure from the editors....

...now, don't get me wrong, I LOVE me some Sarada and I'm glad she's here....but it's obvious if Kishi was ending the series for real, for real and didn't need a second generation SS would've never happened.....SS only happened to produce Sarada and/or to appease the rabid, insane, and delusional SS fanbase.

The fact that you supposedly support Sakura but accept the poor treatment that she has received as a wife and a character overall in this series is disgraceful.

Kishi can't even write proper interaction between them bc he knows this pairing is a joke and he, Sasuke's creator himself doesn't know how to write Sasuke in a relationship context. I mean, did you see the SS family in the Boruto movie credits? Did you see the distance between between each family member compared to the distance between NH family?

These things are intentional and send a message. Body language means something.

If I were to sum up what happened is that Kishimoto screwed over Sakura's character, keeping her obsessed with Sasuke, and then they came up with the idea of part 3 with a new generation. If not then u just have Sakura looking sad, Sasuke seeming callous to all of Sakura's pain and crying, and no yin and yang for the next gen.

Putting SS together and making Sarada was the best choice for Kishimoto's bad writing.
