How Himawari was able to KO Naruto. - Explained

Naruto does something stupid, or perverted. Sakura turns into an angry tsundere, and smacks Naruto around. The next panels, Naruto is fine, with no long term damage.

Compared to Himawari striking one of Naruto's tenketsu points and rendering him unconscious for an entire day.

Clearly their is a difference. Just like when Karui beat the snot out of Naruto. Naruto didn't just heal miraculously on the next page. He carried those wounds and bandages for an entire day.

I've seen multiple threads about what Himawari did to Naruto in the Hokage oneshot. With the FAQ being how Himawari was able to KO her father and why Naruto was not able to recover. So I'm making this thread to explain how and why this happened.


I blame this on Kishi forgetting about the Hyuga,and putting too much focus on Uchiha wank. Because of this people have forgetten how the Gentle Fist affects the body.



Gentle Fist works by forcing chakra from the user, into the tenketsu/chakra points of the opponent.

Here are Part 1 scans that explain where chakra is manifested from and what Byakugan sees when fighting an opponent.

In Naruto and in Eastern philosophy (from which most of Naruto is based on), chakra/spiritual energy (chi) is gathered in the stomach and then spreads out through the body.

Fusagaku also demonstrates that senjutsu chakra also balances with physical and spirtiual energy; again located in the stomach.

Gyuki explains a similar happening, when using Bijuu (another external source of chakra like senjutsu), and one's own natural chakra.

Notice that Himawari says "lock on" before striking her father. Look at where she hit him.

With one blow from the gentle fist, Himawari shut her father down, and knocked him out cold.

There is a reason why the Gentle Fist is called the strongest taijutsu in the Leaf Village. Those proficient in it (Hiashi, Neji, Hinata, Hanabi, Kaguya, Boruto and Himawari) could potentially kill an opponent with one blow.

But it's legit... If it were to happen in canon the results would be the same... Naruto didn't know where Himawari was aiming, he thought it was just a regular punch, so he assumed he could tank it, but it's impossible to tank Gentle Fist without chakra armor

Himawari wouldn't be able to do that again, on the sense of knocking someone out in one hit with a single finger. The whole sense of it was for humor, but it doesn't diminish her personality and traits. Given when she gets angry, she is reminsicent of her grandmother.

Like her Grandmother, and even Sakura, when they get angry they knock the men around them out. Hell, Kushina punching the snot out of Minato doesn't mean she can one shot him, same goes for Sakura doing it to Naruto.

There's no logical way for Himawari to hit a single tenkatsu point and for Naruto to fall asleep, unless she hit an extreme pressure point. Like someone said, it looked like she striked the point in his nutsack, making it a instant KO

Gentle Fist strikes aren't like normal punches, normal punches can be defended against and the power behind it differs depending on who threw the punch, how strong they are, who was getting hit, how strong the person getting hit was, and force behind the strike. While Gentle Fist isn't affected by any of that, it's only affected by "Is the person who got hit wearing chakra armor" and on top of all that, she got the central chakra point, the point that sends chakra to the rest of the body...
