No, just no. Sakura is undoubtedly smart - in fact, I'd rate her 3rd from the Konoha 11 - but she is not smarter than Shikamaru. Her having more feats means nothing when Shikamaru has proven to be a master tactician and a much quicker thinker on the field than Sakura. The only field she obviously beats him in is medical knowledge. Deduction, strategy and IQ go to him.

Shikamaru has shown far superior feats considering he is not even a main character. Even writer knows it which is why Shikamaru is always a team leader in manga.

I feel this did hurt the manga/anime at times. As if there is only 1 person of the K11 who is qualified enough to lead squads. It's not like the strategies Shikamaru comes up with are that intricate or outlandish, that anyone with a modicum of commons sense, also couldn't come up with.

What's the point of promoting the ninjas to chunin (which is stated to show a Shinobi is capable of leadership of genin and chunin squads and carry out autonomous missions), if there is always the same leader among each squad mission?

Better feats in genetic engineering, complex reasoning (discovering both what was on the Uchiha tablet and Obito's identity) and toxicology (creating from scratch an anti-mokuton poison and inserting Oro's in his own body)

1) Tsunade was older than Kabuto and even she said he was greater than her at her prime. Plus no Gaiden/Boruto feats imply that she managed to catch up to him
2) I know, but in the realm of battle strategies Shikamaru is by both feats, portrayal and hype above Sakura, while she excels in this other area

Also, Tsunade didn't lose to Kabuto in combat. She did not but they are irrelevant.

But see no is reading my thread just replying and instance by what I said.

Sakura = Anatomy, physiology, toxicology, genetics and chemistry PDF knowlage.

- Sakura deduced tobi's intangibility the second she saw it.

- Sakura absolutely outstaged Shikamaru when encrypting Jiraiya's messaged.

- Sakura pieced together the mechnics behind WZ's technqiue using rationality and her photographic memory and she was dead on.

Now am I dismissing Shikamaru? No not all but if you look at their feats on paper she wins.
