Naruto was serious against kaguya but he wasn't serious against sasuke.if he does then sasuke would be dead.

The difference is from the beginning to the end of the Kaguya fight, Naruto was serious.

He was only serious with his Sasuke fight in the middle meaning he took the first half of his battle very lightly.

1 -Its dangerous and useless for Naruto to perform that kind of action infront of Kaguya. She can change dimension all of sudden to Lava or whatever and the clone that gathering chakra below cant focus and in serious trouble.

2 -Naruto using Hundred of clones is the sign that he takes Kaguya seriously.

3 -Using Kurama clones to fight Kaguya also is very problematic because large entity tend to be slower(PS as example). And you know how fast Kaguya was.

4 -Naruto never serious in using his clones when he fight with Sasuke. But because his chakra is depleting, he need to gathered chakra again and one of his Kurama Avatar clone do the job. And if Naruto used the collected chakra and distributed it to all his clones and produce more Kurama Avatar clones, he can overwhelmed Sasuke but he chose to counter Indra Arrow with no reason.

Thats tells you he never serious when fighting Sasuke unlike Kaguya wheres he used clones even though not Kurama Avatar clones.

There is no reason for Naruto couldnt overwhelmed Sasuke Bijuu PS with Dozens of Kurama clones. Sasuke Bijuu PS doesnt have any attack that can kill them easily. Indra Arrow can be dodge easily.

Sasuke doesnt have massive TSB or Ash Bone or Vacumm Palm to wreck them all.
