So this seems like momo and kin are backup insurance for kaguya. Though it seems that they don't cover damages from a odama rasengan...
What do you think? I can sense that kishimoto's wallet isn't satisfied...

I remember reading a spoiler saying that they're descendants of the otsutsuki or something. This is speculation but i think kaguya told her people that if they don't hear from her after "few" years to send help or continue her plan.
