Naruto was keeping Sasuke's pace. This isn't Sakura we're talking about. It would have been stupid for Sasuke to ameno into the boss or Naruto to speed blitz it. As you can see in the movie if they weren't right behind each other with each attack lead they would have been screwed. If you noticed they took turns leading and covering each other's openings
