Hashi cells, so it's Hashi cells controlling a giant force of nature killed Neji, who literally threw himself into the attack to save people. Yes, clearly that's "soloing." I don't see how sacrifice when he could have survived otherwise counts as "soloed" but eh. Obito never forced Hinata or Neji to die, they made the attack work on them, not him.
