Raijuu Tsuiga (Lightning Running Beast) is Raikiri extended to be a mid range technique. Hence it's more powerful than Chidori, since Raikiri is the more refined and focused version of Chidori (not to mention that is freely chargeable and can pressure the opponent chasing him).

Beast runner alone gives Kakashi raiton range over Sasuke who can only shoot out a Chidori spear 5 meters, plus the fact that beast runner moves diagonally while a chidori spear shoots out straight.
