Settltling a debate
I was aruging the mechanics of my friends OC Naruto character today and i need help setttling the matter.
The nature of his technique or more apporitately the seal to my understanding is extremely OP and thus fundamentally flawed.His character can open a seal and it allows him to use certain elemental affinities from the 5 houses that make up his village.(Not Relevant)The catch is it allows him to stay at "Full Power" for a set period of time.The maximum amount of this time is 5 minutes.He can stay at full power indefniately for upwards to five minutes at 100 percent chakra.He then says upwards because if he supposedly has less than 100 percent chakra then the form has a smaller time window.---Yet the form would still have his 100 percent power and stamina.I know he litterally states he can have less chakra and enter the form and have the same amount and a indefinite amount too,with the only variable being how long he can he can be at 100 percent.Its a mathmatical paradox.
The nature of its practice came into question when he entailed of a fight between himself and a madara and to help
forward the story it came down to the point where he said he would use the seal to keep madara at bay when madara brought out his PS and go about attacking from there and dwindle his chakra down so his PS woudl fall.
I told him it was double edge sword because his chakra would be burnt trying to burn his which of course
caused him to cite how in that form he would be 100 percent so he wouldn't deplete during the time.See the problem ? He is going to enter a form and make you delpete your chakra while having no inate downside and he doesn't seem to think its OP.He sights that naruto or madara have crazy amounts of chakra so the time would mean nothing and i told him the amount one has doesn't matter its the fact that you put your character in an "limited infinite mode" if you catch my drift.
He said its not disimilar to edo tensei.And i said you mean the one where someone comes back from the dead against there will being bound by the spirit ?One has to die and be brought back before they have a pool of chakra that replenishes and it doesn't even bring you back at max it bring you back as you were.Which means at best someone with a set amount of chakra will keep having it replenished.Mind you there dead and they have no free will.
Also keep in mind his form your under control mentally(and alive)and have your peak 100 percent power ..indenfinitely with no drawbacks for 5 minutes.Edo tensei had a flaw that could be exploited that would send the sould back.There is no internal structure of his justu that reveals a flaw or nature that can be exploited.Its a 100 percent power capsule he can bust out at anytime.Then he said naruto has crazy amounts of chakra so he can counter his mode.Then i told him you can't justify having an unlimited mode because you cite top tier fighters.
Were OC characters.He said he made his character on par with the big ones which i have no problem with.The thing is he wants a madara power level character then wants to be able to enter a form where he has unlimited chakra for a set period of time.He kept saying it wasnt different from having a lot of chakra once again while this time citing ichigo when fighting aizen.At no point was it ever mentioned during that fight that his mask was an unlimited amount of energy it was just a crazy high amount.And even then it had effects like never being able to use them again after using final getsugo tensho.In his form he wants to execute attacks with no problem with full power behind each blast for a set period of time.
Everyone regardless of how much chakra they have,they eventually run out at some point.
Forms that give you boost even have effects ...liek the gates which expends all your bodies energy into a form.
This form has much chakra as it should because its your lifetimes supplywhat happens as guy fights ? His body gets damaged What happened to rock lee ? His body got damaged and it strained him during the fight.What happened when one enters sage mode and uses a larger attack than usual ? He would fall out of sage mode until he could gather more chakra right ? Correct.What my friend wants to do is have a character that matches top tiers and still have an unlimited mode of sorts to fall back on.After explaining this he said it was no different then having a lot of chakra.I told him the fundamentals are wrong because regardless of how much time he is in the form he isn't expending anything which is OP especialyl in an RP which depends on turn based attacks which are hinged on our chakra.
(He said he fails to see the unfairness)
So in essence even if you are around the same strength or about even he will make it irrelevant because at one point you will enter a final form use a ultimate justu to finish things and he will enter that form and attack indefinitely.
