It has to be between Obito basically using Kamui to transcend life and death to give Kakashi power (DMS) or the way Kishimoto used Izanami to beat Kabuto. For the latter, it just didn't make any sense how he would lose in such a case given the circumstances of the fight. He was basically on the offensive the entire time, rendered Susano'o and Genjutsu useless, could sense Amaterasu and negate it with the genetics he got from Karina and Suigetsu. It genuinely took a Deus Ex Machina like occurrence to beat him. Not good writing at all.

For me it's Madara using Kamui on himself with MORE of the biju inside of him than Obito despite having it for seconds rather than decades

People seem to never get it right.
There is a difference in HOW you use Kamui.

- You can become "intangible" when you just teleport single parts of your body
- You can teleport as a whole.

Obito just could not become "intangible" as a Jinchuuriki, but neither could Madara. They both used it differently. Obito didn't even try to teleport himself as a whole to avoid Narutos attack, so he got hit.
I thinkt that it's irrelevant how much of the Juubi/other Bijuu you possess. It's more like a two-button-scenario. You either choose option (A) or (B) of the jutsu.

Well, Kakashi getting MS from a dead Obito, including some heavy Kamui-stuff and PS. There is no other way around.
Naruto and Sasuke were different, they met the Hagoromo himself. Obito is just fodder comparing to him and shouldn't be allowed to just come back to life. Even Hagoromo and Kaguya couldn't do it without help!
