Naruto live action movie discussion thread

As you know, a few days ago it was confirmed that Naruto live action movie will be made. Well, that does not mean that it will, since there are other similar movie projects that were stopped.

Anyway, it is needless to say that it is very controversial, considering some live action adaptations of Anime, such as Dragon Ball evolution and many other movies.

However, lets be fair and not already claim the movie will be bad. Give it a chance and don't decide it will be bad until you see it.

So, I hope to make this a discussion. What would you like to see in the movie? Which part of story do you think it will cover? Do you think it will be set in our world or in Konoha? What are you concerns, if you have any? Do you look forward to it, even if just for laughs?

It will probably have a made up story based on the plot. I am interested in the movie but lets face it hollywood has a habit of screwing up adaptions be it video games, books, cartoons.

I want the director changed to Michael Bay, then I don't care because it'll be ah explosive movie :Sparks:, and dragon ball evolution was absolute garbage, but that's a side note, but honestly the movie may be like evolution and take part in shippuden and just be random time skips to the Naruto vs sasuke fight, but that's be asking fir too much, if they dud the kaguya fight , nah they'll get to pein arc then that'll be the movie

Hmm i got some ideas, the director should be a good action/sci-fi specialist. The budget may not be small 100$ milion atleast.

The timeline should be as adult Naruto... The actor of Naruto should be Channing Tatum somehow for me he fits the best.

It isn't that unheard of for adapted live action movies to be cancelled. This should be quite high budget so it's less likely. Otherwise I think it will be good, converting Naruto to real life.

Can't be a good movie without taking out a vast majority of the plot and characters or even changing the plot and charcters entirely Since most animes especially animes with long run times can't be made as a movie without these changes. however these are pretty much the main reasons why anime and video game movie adaptations are not liked by the vast majority of the fans. They are so diffrent they aret even the same thing.

And this is Hollywood we are talking about they don't care so it's pretty much confirmed to suck.

Channing is good. But not any way in hell will he be Naruto....

Why not he really does resemble Naruto both on body style and general looks, also he is good at both comic display and serious display.

i would like to give the Naruto live action movie the benefit of the doubt, but western live action adaptations of anime and video games have a long history of blowing chunks though. Super Mario Bros.? Lol.Tekken? Blowed. King of Fighters? Horrible. Dragon Ball: Evolution? Don't get me started.

The Street Fighter and the first Mortal Kombat movie were the only ones that weren't half bad imo, though i might hold a bit bias for them. A part of me wants to see the latest tragedy that will be added to the list, just to see how much got mucked up.
