Yes, you are right but it's about common perception (Which is 90% of the time based on complete ignorance). People do not care about the source story, they care the way it is shown. If the movie is shown in a real life setting, everybody will go and watch it without any fear of being called a kid. In this case, seeing the movie makes you a man. :lol
But if the movie is shown in cartoon format, then everybody starts associating you as a Kid. It gets very annoying when people start singling you out as a Kid all the time. I mean if this movie was based on real life format, none of us would have a problem in seeing it. At least that's what I think.
