How was ashura a jin , when Rikudou only created the bijuu after he was inspired by having seen ashura become strong with the help of his friends. Think about all of the bijuu were children when ashura and Indra where alive. Plus kurama has already had a flashback showing everyone who has ever controlled him and ashura was not there.

Lol nice try... That picture of him fighting with Indra came after he was chosen as successor. Hagoromo split the juubi and than chose ashura and that's when they started fighting. I imagine that a piece of each of the tailed beasts and kurama came as a gift to the successor from his dad
