No it means it was countered if his chidori hit as intended naruto would have some serious damage which he did not

Eating something isn't the same as tanking it. Naruto still received damage and because which we now know that Naruto isn't as durable as we thought. :|

I was talking about in reference to the sword stab. I thought that something like that would just bounce off, but that isn't the case apparently. As for the chidori there is a chance that Naruto jumped back upon being hit to reduce damage.

That rasengan was boosted by kyuubi chakra. It was kinda symbolic. Chidori with eye power and Rasengan with Bijuu chakra. (Equal on all fronts)

As far as Naruto living through anything. He can't in that scan Naruto only had his lung pierced. If it were they heart or something more vital then he might have died.
